  • Publication number: 20100103506
Abstract: A reconfigurable optical amplifier including a first reversible optical circulator and an optical gain device is provided. The first reversible optical circulator has four I/O ports which are respectively referred to as a first terminal, a second terminal, a third terminal, and a fourth terminal. The four I/O ports sequentially transmit an optical signal in a transmission direction of a forward circulation or a backward circulation according to a control signal. The first terminal is isolated from the adjacent fourth terminal. The optical gain device is connected between the first terminal and the adjacent fourth terminal. The second terminal and the third terminal are respectively connected to a first communication node and a second communication node.

  • Publication number: 20100026907
Abstract: An audio multi-standard detection apparatus is provided to pre-record a plurality of audio broadcasting format carrier bands. The detection apparatus includes: a carrier calculation unit and a switch controller. The carrier calculation unit is used for receiving an intermediate frequency signal and calculates the first carrier energy of the intermediate frequency signal in each of the frequency bands. From this first carrier energy, the switch controller determines which frequency bands are existed in the intermediate frequency signal, then analyzes the signal via at least one threshold value to determine the frequency band's primary carrier. The switch controller obtains an effective carrier. Further, the switch controller compares the effective carrier with the pre-recorded carrier bands for selectively outputting the appropriate audio broadcasting format.

  • Publication number: 20090317280
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a metal-based ceramic composite target containing noble metal is provided, which includes firstly applying a ceramic powder uniformly onto a surface of a magnetic metal powder by using a wet powder mixing process, and drying it to obtain a ceramic-metal composite powder, and then uniformly mixing a noble metal powder with the ceramic-metal powder by using a dry powder mixing process, and finally making the ceramic-metal composite powder into a compact target by using a molding and compacting process. The manufacturing method of the present invention can uniformly mix the powders of the magnetic metal, the ceramic, and the noble metal, and reduce the loss of the noble metal powder in the production process of the target, so as to improve the quality of the target and decrease the production cost thereof.

  • Patent number: 5249151
Abstract: A system is disclosed which functions in two distinct yet interrelated modes. In a modeling mode the system provides a customized multi-body model, wherein problem specific functions are created for analysis of complex real-world machines. A preprocessor facilitates the multi-body model description and a symbolic generator then generates model specific code in FORTRAN of some other convenient computer language. The model code is portable and self contained. In a numerical simulation mode actual multi-body system data are combined with the model code, whereby the system is manageable by a user not necessarily familiar with the modeling techniques, but familiar with the multi-body system modeled. Simulation operations by the system produce outputs descriptive of the multi-body system without redundancy, which outputs may then be utilized by the user through a post processor to compute further quantities of interest and to apply visualization to interpret results.
