Abstract: In a method for ordering a product, a portable electronic device is configured to: obtain catalog information that includes a plurality of product information entries associated respectively with a plurality of products; display an ordering interface on a display screen of the portable electronic device according to the catalog information; upon receipt an order entry which includes a number of a to-be-purchased one of the products through the ordering interface, generating an electronic order that includes the order entry; and allow a point-of-sale (POS) terminal to obtain the electronic order.

Abstract: A communication device including a ground element and an antenna element is provided. An edge of the ground element has a notch, and the antenna element includes a metal element disposed inside the notch. The metal element of the antenna element has a first end and a second end. The first and second ends are spaced away from each other and are respectively positioned adjacent to two ends of a diagonal line of the notch. The first end is used as a first feeding point of the antenna element, and the second end is used as a second feeding point of the antenna element. The first feeding point is coupled through a switch and a first matching circuit to a first signal source, and the second feeding point is coupled through an inductive element and a second matching circuit to a second signal source.

Abstract: Disclosed is a chalcone composition for treating diabetes and metabolic syndromes. In particular, the chalcone compound bound with 2-halogen in ring A significantly decreases the blood glucose level in the in vitro anti-diabetic effect experiment. In the in vivo animal model, the leading chalcone compound can prevent the progression of diabetes and control the blood glucose level, and there is no significant difference in the gains in body weight. Throughout the seven-week administration, there are no hepatic or renal toxicity observed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a microemulsifying system consisting essentially of coconut oil and Polysorbate 80 in a specific weight ratio. Also disclosed herein are microemulsion preconcentrates and microemulsions that contain a lipophilic functional ingredient formulated with the microemulsifying system. Processes for preparing the microemulsion preconcentrates and microemulsions are also disclosed herein.

The antenna element is substantially a loop antenna and includes a first part, a second part and a third part. The second part includes (N?1) bends for forming N connection sections. The third part includes (P?1) bends for forming P ground sections. The N connection sections are connected in series between a first end of a first ground section and the first part. A second end of an ith ground section is electrically connected to a first end of an (i+1)th ground section, i is an integer and 1?i?(P?1). A second end of a Pth ground section is electrically connected to the ground element, and a (P?1)th ground section includes at least one ground point. The switching unit is electrically connected between the at least one ground point and the ground element.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a biomedical composition, including: a hyaluronic acid; a modified histidine; and a polymer or C4-C20 alkane, wherein the modified histidine and the polymer or C4-C20 alkane are grafted to at least one primary hydroxyl group of the hyaluronic acid to allow the hyaluronic acid to form a hyaluronic acid derivative, wherein a graft ratio of the modified histidine is about 1-100%, and a graft ratio of the polymer or C4-C20 alkane is about 0-40%.

Abstract: A wearable electronic device includes a body and a wearing element. The body includes a conductive frame. The conductive frame includes a feeding point and at least one grounding point to form a first current path and a second current path. Furthermore, the conductive frame forms a loop antenna via the first current path and the second current path, respectively, so as to operate in a first band and a second band. Abstract: An adjustable wheel cover for aluminum alloy rims is revealed. A wheel cover is disposed with through holes corresponding to hollow holes of an aluminum alloy rim. A peripheral wall is extended axially from an inner surface of the wheel cover and along a periphery of each through hole. At least one assembly part is formed on the peripheral wall and an insertion slot for receiving a fixing part is arranged at the assembly part axially. The assembly part is disposed with a plurality of adjustment holes radially. A locking block on a spring of the fixing part is secured in the adjustment hole correspondingly. Thus the wheel cover can be adjusted flexibly to fit the aluminum alloy rims with production tolerances. The problem of unstable connection between the wheel cover and the aluminum alloy rim caused by unmatched size can also be solved.

Abstract: A search system for collecting aliases associated with an entity name, includes a storage module configured to store at least one first lexical pattern, a search module coupled to the storage module and configured to obtain a plurality of first snippets from a database according to the entity name, and an alias extracting module coupled to the storage module and the search module separately and configured to, according to the entity name and the first lexical pattern, determine whether any first alias exists in the first snippets. If a first alias exists, the alias extracting module extracts it out and stores it in the storage module.
