  • Publication number: 20150365491
Abstract: In some examples, an electronic device may reduce the resolution or otherwise downsize content items to conserve storage space on the electronic device. Further, the electronic device may offload full resolution versions of content items that have been downsized, and the full resolution versions may be stored at a cloud storage or other network storage location. Subsequently, if the user, an operating system module, or an application on the electronic device requests a higher resolution version of the downsized content item, the higher resolution version may be downloaded from the network storage to the electronic device. Various techniques may be used for determining a size or resolution of the content item to download from the network storage.

  • Publication number: 20150360575
Abstract: Vehicles that are capable of connecting to the AC grid are described that comprise a prime mover and at least one motor generator. In one embodiment, a vehicle may be constructed as a plug-in hybrid system and using the powertrain under controller instruction to either place power on an AC power line (to service AC grids) or to draw power from the AC power line to add electrical energy to the batteries on the vehicle. In some aspects, vehicles may test whether the power needed to service the AC power line may be satisfied by the on-vehicle batteries or, if not, whether and how much power to extract from the prime mover. In some aspects, vehicles may have a thermal management system on board to dynamically supply desired heat dissipation for the powertrain, if the powertrain is using the prime mover to supply power to the AC grid.

  • Publication number: 20150364178
Abstract: A memory core of a resistive type memory device includes at least a first resistive type memory cell coupled to a bit-line, a first resistance to voltage converter and a bit-line sense amplifier. The first resistance to voltage converter is coupled to the bit-line at a first node. The first resistance to voltage converter converts a resistance of the first resistive type memory cell to a corresponding voltage based on a read column selection signal. The bit-line sense amplifier is coupled to the bit-line at the first node and is coupled to a complementary bit-line at a second node. The bit-line sense amplifier senses and amplifies a voltage difference of the bit-line and the complementary bit-line in response to a sensing control signal.
