    Abstract: A method for decomposing a layout of an integrated circuit is provided. First, a layout of the integrated circuit is imported, wherein the layout comprises a plurality of sub patterns in a cell region, and a first direction and a second direction are defined thereon. Next, one sub pattern positioned at a corner of the cell region is assigned to an anchor pattern. Then, the sub patterns in the row same as the anchor pattern along the second direction is assigned to the first group. Finally, the rest of the sub patterns are decomposed into the first group and the second group according to a design rule, wherein the sub patterns in the same line are decomposed into the first group and the second group alternatively.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting the compressibility of data in a flash storage device are provided. One such method involves extracting byte intervals from the block of data, each of the byte intervals consisting of a preselected number of bytes, performing a hash function to map the byte intervals into a plurality of bins, the plurality of bins comprising one bin for each possible value of the byte intervals, incrementing a hit count each time more than one of the byte intervals is mapped into a single bin of the plurality of bins, and determining whether to compress the block of data based on a comparison of a ratio of the hit count to a total number of the byte intervals and a preselected threshold. This method may be implemented in hardware to ensure fast and efficient execution.

The weight calculator unit receives the error signal, the transition sampling signal and the data signal, and then uses a run length technique to generate weight data. The weight data controls a voltage control oscillator (VCO) which calibrates the phase and the frequency of the sampling clock signal.

    Abstract: A solar cell and manufacturing method of back electrodes thereof are disclosed. The method includes a step of implementing a screen printing process to a semiconductor substrate. The method also includes a step of measuring a deviation which exists between laser ablation recesses and back electrodes in the screen printing process. The method further includes a step of adjusting the distance between the laser ablation recess and the back electrode according to the deviation. After adjusting, a deviation between laser ablation recesses and back electrodes will be controlled to a narrower range when the screen printing process is implemented to another semiconductor substrate. Thus, the defect is caused by the back electrodes incompletely covering the laser ablation recesses can be improved significantly.
