  • Publication number: 20250064486
Abstract: A jointed rod assembly for use in a spinal fixation construct involves a caudal rod portion connectable to an adjustment mechanism, and a cranial rod portion connectable to the adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism is configured to rotate the caudal and cranial rod portions relative to one another about a joint axis that is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the caudal and cranial rod portions. The caudal and cranial rod portions may be dimensioned to be compatible with other pieces of hardware commonly used for spinal fixation, such as bone anchors (e.g., pedicle screws), occipital plates, reducers, and others. The caudal and cranial rod portions are composed of a strong, rigid, non-absorbable, biocompatible material. The jointed rod assembly may be advantageously used in spinal fixation systems and methods of spinal fixation.

  • Publication number: 20250053864
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for training a machine learning—artificial intelligence model for multiple prediction tasks includes inputting data for tasks and additional data sources through a common trainable task representation function to obtain a data representation for each. Each resulting data representation is input through two individual trainable linear functions to obtain a corresponding prediction and adversarial prediction. A prediction error for the tasks, an adversarial error across edges of a graph, an auxiliary error for the additional data sources, and a graph error are determined. Parameters of the common trainable task representation function and the trainable linear functions are trained based on a comparison against a weighted sum of the errors. The present invention can be used in a variety of applications including, but not limited to, several anticipated use cases in drug development, material synthesis, and medical/healthcare.

  • Patent number: 12164484
Abstract: A method for automatically selecting input for a smart city application includes determining data schema for a data lake locally stored at a local smart city platform instance and determining aggregate statistical information of data corresponding to a data schema concept. The determined data schema and aggregate statistical information are sent to a global matcher with an identifier of the application. An input matching is received, from the global matcher, for the application, wherein the input matching provides, for each respective input of the application, a respective data schema concept. Data corresponding to the respective data schema concept for each respective input of the data-driven application is provided as input to the application. The input matching is determined using a trained quality of service (QOS) scoring function trained to minimize a QoS error of aggregated QoS scores against a ground-truth QoS score computed from predictive accuracy and/or user feedback.

  • Publication number: 20240330497
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for performing automated sharing of data and analytics across a data space platform includes receiving a request for a data analytics service from a first data stakeholder and providing an initial analysis to the first data stakeholder based on determining a portion of semantic data of the data space platform that is accessible to the first data stakeholder. The initial analysis is updated based on comparing the portion of semantic data with another portion of semantic data of the data space platform that is accessible to a second data stakeholder. The updated analysis is provided to the first data stakeholder. The method can be applied to machine learning and regression problems (continuous values) including, but not limited to, providing improvements to various technical fields such as medical diagnosis and treatment, operation system design and optimization, material design and optimization, telecommunication network design and optimization.

  • Publication number: 20240299065
Abstract: Various implementations include spinal fixation components and related methods. Certain implementations include a tulip rod connector, including: a spinal rod slot having a first engagement direction; a cross-bar slot having a second engagement direction that is distinct from the first engagement direction; and a lock screw slot adjacent to the cross-bar slot, where the tulip rod connector enables locking of both a spinal rod in the spinal rod slot and a cross-bar in the cross-bar slot with a single lock screw action.

  • Publication number: 20230306377
Abstract: A method for action determination includes training an action prediction model with a desired outcome subset of a dataset having triples of: state; actions; and outcome. The desired outcome subset is a selection of triples from the dataset that have a first desired outcome as the outcome, and the first prediction model is configured to receive an input state and to output an action selection probability under an assumption of the desired outcome, which represents a prediction of a probability of achieving the first desired outcome for each action included in a set of possible actions. The method further includes training a second action prediction model with the entire dataset to minimize a total loss over all actions, the second action prediction model being configured to receive the input state and to output an unconditional action selection probability of taking each of the actions for the input state.

  • Publication number: 20230244990
Abstract: A method for generating accurate relationships among heterogeneous documents in a semantic graph for an application includes generating a representation for each one of a plurality of heterogeneous documents contained in an expert graph having a plurality of links. A link score is computed for each of the links of at least a first one of the documents based on the representations of the documents. For the first one of the documents, other ones of the documents are selected as link targets based on the link scores using reinforcement learning. The link targets are forwarded to the application.

Abstract: Systems and related methods for changing the angle of a bone of a subject is provided by the present disclosure. The system may include a non-invasively adjustable implant configured to be placed inside a cavity within the bone. The non-invasively adjustable implant may couple to a first portion of bone and a second portion of bone that is separated or separable from the first portion of bone, such that non-invasive elongation of the adjustable implant causes movement of the first portion of bone and the second portion of bone apart angularly. The system may include an anchor configured to couple the non-invasively adjustable implant to bone. The non-invasively adjustable implant may include an anchor hole configured to receive the anchor therein.
