  • Patent number: 11614188
Abstract: Formation of a sterile connection includes inserting a first aseptic coupling device into a second aseptic coupling device while a locking ring of the first aseptic device is in an indexed initial position, rotating the locking ring to a secured position in which a compressive force is created and in which a first membrane from the first aseptic coupling device and a second membrane from the second aseptic coupling device can removed thereby resulting in a first a first sealing member of the first aseptic coupling device sealing with a second sealing member of the second aseptic coupling device to form a sterile fluid passageway.

  • Patent number: 11604941
Abstract: A method of training an action selection neural network to perform a demonstrated task using a supervised learning technique. The action selection neural network is configured to receive demonstration data comprising actions to perform the task and rewards received for performing the actions. The action selection neural network has auxiliary prediction task neural networks on one or more of its intermediate outputs. • Patent number: 11589088
Abstract: Media content is encoded based on network quality of service parameters. For instance, quality of service parameters for a network between a media server and a media client are determined by a system. The system selects an encoder based on a list of decoders available at the media client and the quality of service parameters, and encodes at least a portion of the media via the encoder. The system can further determine settings for the encoder based on a media type, and encode the media via the encoder according to the settings. The system can detect when the media client moves to a new network, detect new quality of service parameters, and select a new encoder based on the list of decoders available at the media client, the media type, and the new quality of service parameters.

  • Publication number: 20230032816
Abstract: The present embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for measuring an analyte in a host. More particularly, the present embodiments provide sensor applicators and methods of use with activation that implant the sensor, withdraw the insertion needle, engage the transmitter with the housing, and disengage the applicator from the housing. Systems and methods according to present principles allow for such steps to occur without significant loss of spring force, and without deleterious effects such as seal slingshotting.

  • Publication number: 20230023189
Abstract: An off-policy reinforcement learning actor-critic neural network system configured to select actions from a continuous action space to be performed by an agent interacting with an environment to perform a task. An observation defines environment state data and reward data. The system has an actor neural network which learns a policy function mapping the state data to action data. A critic neural network learns an action-value (Q) function. A replay buffer stores tuples of the state data, the action data, the reward data and new state data. The replay buffer also includes demonstration transition data comprising a set of the tuples from a demonstration of the task within the environment. The neural network system is configured to train the actor neural network and the critic neural network off-policy using stored tuples from the replay buffer comprising tuples both from operation of the system and from the demonstration transition data.

  • Publication number: 20220343157
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for training a policy neural network having policy parameters. One of the methods includes sampling a mini-batch comprising one or more observation-action-reward tuples generated as a result of interactions of a first agent with a first environment; determining an update to current values of the Q network parameters by minimizing a robust entropy-regularized temporal difference (TD) error that accounts for possible perturbations of the states of the first environment represented by the observations in the observation-action-reward tuples; and determining, using the Q-value neural network, an update to the policy network parameters using the sampled mini-batch of observation-action-reward tuples.

  • Publication number: 20220330244
Abstract: A receiver control is configured to receive signal receive level data from a plurality of signal receivers. The receiver control determines if a signal receive level is lower than expected. In response to determining that the signal receive level is lower than expected, it is determined if an alternate signal is available via an alternate signal path. In response to determining that an alternate signal is available, an instruction is transmitted to one of the plurality of signal receivers with an indication that the alternate signal is to be received via the alternate signal path. The receiver control transmits the alternate signal via the alternate signal path to the one of the plurality of signal receivers experiencing lower than expected signal receive levels in one embodiment. The receiver can resume utilizing an original signal via an original signal path when the signal receive level of the original signal returns.

  • Publication number: 20220167701
Abstract: Earmuffs with a joint are provided to create a biased pressure distribution about a perimeter of the cup. The earmuffs may include a pivot joint. The pressure distribution creates a wedging pressure (e.g., on a top edge) on the cups that hold the earmuffs on the user's head, for example, when the user rotates the headband behind the head. The bias pressure is also used to adjust the seal formed between the pad and the user's head. Adjustments to the moment created by separating the joints from the cup's apex enable a user to selectively adjust the seal according to the user's preference. A cam is added to the headband to change the hoop stress distributed at the joints and further adjust the compressive forces generated to hold the earmuffs against the user's head.

  • Publication number: 20220152433
Abstract: A reusable, protective face mask has two detachable filter trays that attach on each side of the mask, a soft elastomeric face seal, and straps to go around the user's head. Exhalations and inhalations can pass through the same filter material. The filter trays can accept arbitrary filter media. A forward-facing port can be used to increase speech intelligibility by transmitting sound through a diaphragm without a prohibitive amount of distortion. Manufacture of the mask is facilitated because the mask body and the other mask components can be produced by injection molding. Decontamination and sterilization are facilitated because the mask can be fully disassembled.

  • Publication number: 20220047033
Abstract: A universal mounting system for a hard hat is provided that includes front and rear mounting locations and auxiliary ridges on either side. A visor is coupled to the hard hat mounting system in such a way as to provide access with minimal interference from the visor to the equipment attached to the mounting locations and ports in the auxiliary ridges. Various embodiments of visors enable modular designs that incorporate different materials and features of the visor. Parallel stretch zones enable folding and holding opposite brims of the visor. Enclosed elastic areas along the inner sides of visor provide user access to auxiliary ridges. Combinations of various accessories on hard hat and how the accessories work together on the universal mounting system are discussed: such as the interaction between visors, earmuffs, face shields, and lamps.
