  • Publication number: 20200339074
Abstract: A cleaning device for vehicles is presented. The device has a disposable pad system with pre-applied cleaning chemicals for use on an RV or similar vehicle. The device utilizes a series of disposable textile-based pads. The cleaning aids are envisioned to be made of various textiles such as nylon scrub material for cleaning windows or bugs, a soft microfiber for applying soap or wax and a wool pad for removing wax. The pads are attached to a base approximately four by ten (4×10) inches with a long pole that swivels at the pad connection. The pole can extend to a length of ten (10) feet or retract to two (2) feet for easy storage.

  • Publication number: 20200272889
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for improving operational efficiency within a data center by modeling data center performance and predicting power usage efficiency. An example method receives a state input characterizing a current state of a data center. For each data center setting slate, the state input and the data center setting slate are processed through an ensemble of machine learning models. Each machine learning model is configured to receive and process the state input and the data center setting slate to generate an efficiency score that characterizes a predicted resource efficiency of the data center if the data center settings defined by the data center setting slate are adopted t. The method selects, based on the efficiency scores for the data center setting slates, new values for the data center settings.

  • Patent number: 10757479
Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a media interface device, a media selection command from a user device. The media selection command identifies first media content, the media content available from a first content source in a first format. The media interface device is configured to provide the first media content to the user device as second media content in a second format different than the first format. The method includes selecting a particular module of a plurality of modules of the media interface device to process the first media content based on the media selection command. The method includes receiving the first media content at the particular module, where the particular module converts the first media content in the first format to the second media content in the second format. The method also includes sending the second media content from an interface coupled to the particular module to the user device.

  • Patent number: 10697938
Abstract: A measurement system and a method for determining steam quality (i.e. vapor mass fraction) measurements of multiphase fluid flowing through pipes are described. An acoustic sensor device consists of an acoustic transmitter and an acoustic receiver that are designed to be attached to a pipe. The acoustic transmitter and the acoustic receiver are exposed to an interior space of the pipe through openings in a wall of the pipe. Acoustic waves generated by the transmitter and captured by the receiver traverse the multiphase fluid flowing into the pipe. Swept-frequency acoustic interferometry (SFAI) technique is used to measure ultrasonic acoustic properties of a fluid. Machine-learning techniques based on principal component analysis, support vector machine regression and support vector machine classification are used for determining steam quality.

  • Publication number: 20200170671
Abstract: The present embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for measuring an analyte in a host. More particularly, the present embodiments provide sensor applicators and methods of use with activation that implant the sensor, withdraw the insertion needle, engage the transmitter with the housing, and disengage the applicator from the housing. Systems and methods according to present principles allow for such steps to occur without significant loss of spring force, and without deleterious effects such as seal slingshotting.

  • Publication number: 20200151562
Abstract: An off-policy reinforcement learning actor-critic neural network system configured to select actions from a continuous action space to be performed by an agent interacting with an environment to perform a task. An observation defines environment state data and reward data. The system has an actor neural network which learns a policy function mapping the state data to action data. A critic neural network learns an action-value (Q) function. A replay buffer stores tuples of the state data, the action data, the reward data and new state data. The replay buffer also includes demonstration transition data comprising a set of the tuples from a demonstration of the task within the environment. The neural network system is configured to train the actor neural network and the critic neural network off-policy using stored tuples from the replay buffer comprising tuples both from operation of the system and from the demonstration transition data.

  • Publication number: 20190364304
Abstract: A satellite digital broadcast systems transmits signals from a geosynchronous satellite to a plurality of geographically dispersed receivers. Each receiver measures a receive signal level and transmits a value representing the level to a data center. The data center analyses data received from a plurality of receivers in order to determine a size, shape, and velocity of propagation of an obstruction. The data center then predicts which receivers will experience signal disruptions based on the obstruction and the velocity of propagation of the obstruction. The data center transmits instructions to receivers that will be affected by the obstruction.

  • Publication number: 20190349939
Abstract: A receiver control is configured to receive signal receive level data from a plurality of signal receivers. The receiver control determines if a signal receive level is lower than expected. In response to determining that the signal receive level is lower than expected, it is determined if an alternate signal is available via an alternate signal path. In response to determining that an alternate signal is available, an instruction is transmitted to one of the plurality of signal receivers with an indication that the alternate signal is to be received via the alternate signal path. The receiver control transmits the alternate signal via the alternate signal path to the one of the plurality of signal receivers experiencing lower than expected signal receive levels in one embodiment. The receiver can resume utilizing an original signal via an original signal path when the signal receive level of the original signal returns to expected levels.
