  • Publication number: 20090067443
Abstract: A method of visualizing network data includes parsing a collection of packets in accordance with a set of categories related to characteristics of the collection of packets, the categories including listings of categorical elements, wherein at least some of the categorical elements are selectable by a user. When a categorical element is selected by a user, the collection of packets is filtered in accordance with the selected categorical element. Alongside each categorical element is a selectable count value that is indicative of the number of discrete communications sessions in which an associated categorical element is present in the collection of packets. When the count value is selected, a session view or views is/are created for each respective session, with content payload available for review and viewing.

  • Patent number: 7235895
Abstract: A rotor for a wind turbine generator includes a rotatable hub forming a cavity. A plurality of rotor blades is connected to the hub. A heat sink is at least partially positioned within the cavity and extends along a portion of a corresponding rotor blade. The heat sink includes a bottom surface mounted on a thermal energy generating component of the wind turbine generator. An opposing top planar surface includes a plurality of pins extending therefrom. The pins form an air flow path through the pins to dissipate the generated thermal energy from the thermal energy generating component.

  • Patent number: 7016951
Abstract: A system for network security transparently occupies an observation port on the data stream, passing the entire range of network information to a dedicated interpreter. The interpreter resolves the data stream into individual data packets, which are then assembled into reconstructed network sessions according to parameters such as protocol type, source and destination addresses, source and destination ports, sequence numbers and other variables. The different types of sessions may include the traffic of many different types of users, such as e-mail, streaming video, voice-over-Internet and others. The system detects and stores the sessions into a database. A parser module may extract only the minimum information needed to reconstruct individual sessions. A backend interface permits a systems administrator to interrogate the forensic record of the network for maintenance, security and other purposes.

  • Publication number: 20020170777
Abstract: This invention is a means for securely connecting a loop of webbing around an object then providing for the release and retrieval of the webbing from a remote location using a small pull cord. The primary application for the invention is rappelling. Rock climbers and canyoneers typically need to leave behind equipment after they complete a rappel. With this invention, all equipment associated with rappelling, including webbing used to attach a rope to an anchor, can be retrieved. This saves the rappeller money, as well as satisfy public land managers (ie, National Park Service) who are increasing becoming intolerant of “fixed” rappel anchors left behind by rappellers.
