  • Patent number: 6710528
Abstract: A shadow body includes an effective area having minor and major axes that extend perpendicularly to each other. Each of electron beam passage apertures formed in the effective area is a communication hole that connects a larger hole opening in one surface of the effective area and a smaller hole opening in the other surface of the effective area. A joint portion between the larger and smaller holes of each electron beam passage apertures in the central portion of the effective area is situated in the thickness-direction central portion of the mask body. A joint portion between the larger and smaller holes of each electron beam passage aperture in the peripheral portion of the effective area is situated closer to the one surface side of the effective area than the thickness-direction central portion is, the larger hole being offset against the smaller hole in the direction of the major axis.

  • Patent number: 6642160
Abstract: A loop material of a hook-and-loop fastener, comprised of a nonwoven base and a number of loops which are formed at least on one plane side of the nonwoven base. The nonwoven base is formed by accumulating a number of filaments or fibers. An antislipping agent is deposited at least on the surface of the loops, thereby the surface of the loops become uneven. Or, by deformation on the surface of the loops due to thermal plasticity, the surface of the loops become uneven. Due to this unevenness, projections of the hook material are difficult to get out of the loops and a hook-and-loop fastener having high joining strength is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6470857
Abstract: In a flow amount control device which control flow amount of fuel to be supplied to a high pressure fuel pump, an opening, which communicates with a port for passing fuel to the high pressure fuel pump, is composed of a first rectangular opening, a second rectangular opening whose circumferential length is larger than that of the first opening, and a third trapezoidal opening bridging between the first and second openings. The port communicates with the first opening, when engine speed is low, and, as the engine speed increases, with the third and second openings. Accordingly, the flow amount of fuel to be discharged from the high pressure fuel pump varies non-linearly and a change of the flow amount thereof is small in engine low speed region.

  • Patent number: 6057592
Abstract: At the time of forming an alloy composition gradient layer 4 of gallium arsenide phosphide GaAs.sub.x P.sub.1-x having an arsenic alloy composition x changed in such a range as not to exceed a predetermined alloy composition a with an increase of a layer thickness d between a GaP layer 3 and a composition constant layer 5 of gallium arsenide phosphide GaAs.sub.a P.sub.1-a having the predetermined alloy composition a to be grown above the GaP layer; the alloy composition x is abruptly ascended as in composition ascending zones C11 to C13 with the ascended thickness d of an epitaxial layer and then descended as in crystal stabilizing zones S11 to S13 in such a range as not to cancel the previous ascent amount. One or more combinations of such ascent and descent in the alloy composition are repeated to form as distributed in the alloy composition gradient layer 4, and then the alloy composition x is ascended to the predetermined alloy composition a.
