  • Publication number: 20250108378
Abstract: A method of causing the cellular proliferation of one or more cell types contained within a microdroplet having an average volume in the range 4 femtolitres to 10 nanolitres and comprised of an aqueous buffer is provided. It is characterised by the step of incubating the cell(s) inside the droplets in suitable environmental conditions and thereafter detecting the number of cells inside each droplet, characterised in that the microdroplets are suspended in an immiscible carrier fluid further comprising secondary droplets having an average volume less than 25% of the average volume of the microdroplets up to and including a maximum of 4 femtolitres and wherein the volume ratio of carrier fluid to total volume of microdroplets per unit volume of the total is greater than 2:1. The method may be employed for example with microdroplets containing biological cells or with microdroplets containing single nucleoside phosphate such as are prepared in a droplet-based nucleic acid sequencer.

  • Publication number: 20250109565
Abstract: A multilayer integral geogrid, including one or more cellular layers, has a plurality of oriented multilayer strands interconnected by partially oriented multilayer junctions with an array of openings therein. The multilayer integral geogrid having one or more cellular layers is produced from a coextruded or laminated multilayer polymer starting sheet. The integral geogrid has a multilayer construction, with at least one outer layer thereof having the cellular structure. By virtue of the cellular layer structure, the multilayer integral geogrid provides for increased layer vertical compressibility under load, resulting in enhanced material properties that provide performance benefits to use of the multilayer integral geogrid to stabilize and strengthen soil, aggregates, or other particulate materials.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a plurality of coherent agents, and a coherence directory that includes directory ways for storing coherency information. The coherence directory may be configured to determine that a cache block that is not currently cached among the coherent agents, is stored in a first coherent agent. The coherence directory may be further configured to, in response to this determination, create a particular entry in a selected one of the directory ways. The coherence directory may also be configured to send, to the first coherent agent, an indicator identifying a directory way that includes the entry. In response to a second coherent agent caching the cache block, the coherence directory may update the entry to include the second coherent agent. The first and second coherent agents may be configured to receive copies of the indicator, and to store their copy in locations associated with the cache block.
