  • Publication number: 20020047835
Abstract: An image display apparatus has a data display region on which image data is displayed, and a user interface region on which a plurality of icon images are displayed. The icon images displayed on the user interface region each include a left-eye image and a right-eye image so as to be stereoscopically displayed. The image display apparatus provides stereo vision such that the icon images are projected toward a viewer with respect to a normal state when a cursor implemented as a pointer overlaps the icon images, and the icon images are projected away from the viewer with respect to the normal state when the icon images are clicked.

  • Publication number: 20020030675
Abstract: An image display control system includes a display image generating block for generating a display image from three-dimensional image data and also includes a device information acquiring block for acquiring device information associated with a display device. The display image generating block generates the display image in an image format according to device information acquired by the device information acquiring block thereby allowing the image to be displayed on a stereoscopic display device regardless of the stereoscopic image format of the display device.

  • Publication number: 20020018123
Abstract: A display authorization area corresponding a user is selected from maps stored in a device, only the selected zone is displayed, and a camera which is not authorized for the user to perform information communication is inhibited from being displayed. With this arrangement, a camera control system having so excellent security that any user cannot see a place irrelevant to the user and cannot recognize the position of an installed camera is constructed.

  • Publication number: 20010045983
Abstract: When an access request (a request for transfer of video and audio information or a request for a camera operation) to a camera apparatus connected to a network via a terminal is issued via the network, a camera management server processes the access request on the basis of an access right set by a user (or a manager) using the terminal to which the camera apparatus is connected. That is, the camera management server refers to an access right set file and grants or denies permission to access for the user whose has issued the access request. The user to whom the access permission is granted requests a camera control server to permit a camera operation via a camera control client and thereby can receive an image taken by the camera apparatus and voices collected by the camera apparatus and can perform panning, tilting, and zooming of the camera apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20010040636
Abstract: A first frame indicating a maximum imaging visual field when a camera is panned and tilted to the respective limits is displayed on a display screen. A second frame indicative of a current imaging range is displayed at a position in the first frame which corresponds to the current imaging conditions (panning, tilting, and zooming). Panning and tilting are designated by an operation of moving the second frame, and zooming is designated by an operation of enlarging or reducing the second frame. In this way panning, tilting, and zooming of the camera are controlled in accordance with the position and the size of the second frame in the first frame. It is preferable that an image in the maximum imaging visual field be previously taken and displayed in the first frame.

  • Patent number: 6249324
Abstract: There is disclosed a system capable of dispensing with the video/audio encoder in each communication terminal. A switch selects one of plural video/audio inputs. A video capture device of a transmission apparatus digitizes the selected video signal. A video encoder effects compression-encoding of the video capture device according to motion JPEG, MPEG and H.261. A selector sets compression video data to be transmitted, among the video data compressed by different encoding methods, and sends such data to a communication buffer. An audio encoder digitizes and encodes the selected audio signal and sends such signal to the communication buffer. The encoded video and audio data of the communication buffer are read to a network. A control circuit controls devices according to control commands received through the network.

  • Patent number: 6239836
Abstract: A camera control system capable of controlling a video camera of a camera server apparatus according to a control command from clients is arranged not to accept requests for a right to control the video camera from any of clients when the number of clients receiving a video image picked up by the video camera exceeds a predetermined number. If the number of clients is less than the predetermined number, the camera control system, upon receipt of a request for the control right from any of clients, accepts the request to permit the client to control the video camera.

  • Patent number: 6208379
Abstract: A camera control system is disclosed where the control system selects a camera from a plurality of cameras connected to a network, and displays an image taken by the selected camera and further performs control functions on the selected camera. The control system first contains a map display, which represents the relative area where the plurality of controllable cameras are set. The control system next contains a symbol display configuration for representing each camera, and also contains a display-not-permitted area setting configuration, which disallows display functions relative to each network client's status on the network. The control system subsequently transmits each client's respective view and information in accordance to their request and corresponding status.

  • Patent number: 6023276
Abstract: Inputted right and left images of a stereoscopic image are displayed on a bitmap display 1-5, and vertices to be used for forming three dimensional model of each object are inputted by a pointing device 1-7. At this time, if objects to be processed have to be changed, an instruction for changing objects is issued. Accordingly, it is possible to input and manage point data of each object independently.

  • Patent number: 5937096
Abstract: A motion image displaying and storing apparatus includes an image input source for inputting motion image data (such as a camera, or a connection to a network), a storage device (for example, a fast read/write memory) for storing motion image data input by the input source, and a unit for selectively displaying either a motion image that is currently in the process of being stored into the storage device or a motion image read from the storage device. The displaying and storing apparatus can display a motion image that has already been stored in the storage device while the storage device is storing motion image now being input by the image input source.

  • Patent number: 5721959
Abstract: A pattern editing apparatus includes a selector for selecting a plurality of patterns to be object patterns for an editing process. The plurality of patterns are displayed in a first area on a screen. The pattern selected by the selector is displayed in a second area on the screen. The apparatus also includes a provider, responsive to the selector, for providing a pattern for coupling the selected patterns displayed in the second area. The pattern coupling represents a flow chart processing relationship among the selected patterns. Also provided is a generator for generating a signal responsive to the absence of any pattern representing a flow chart processing relationship in the selected patterns, and an adder for adding the pattern representing the flow chart processing relationship as an object pattern of the editing process.

  • Patent number: 5666555
Abstract: An audio output apparatus obtains image signals of moving images to be displayed in each window of a display and corresponding audio signals from a plurality of connected external reproduction apparatuses. The obtained image signal is screen-synthesized, and moving pictures are displayed in each window by a multi-window system. When one of the moving pictures is designated by a pointing device out of the plurality of moving pictures which are displayed in the windows, the audio signal corresponding to the designated moving picture is selected from the plurality of audio signals which are obtained from the plurality of external reproduction apparatuses. Only the sound corresponding to the designated moving image can be output by designating a desired image out of the plurality of moving picture display windows. As a result, a user can selectively listen to the sound corresponding to the desired moving picture.

  • Patent number: 5642124
Abstract: An image processing system in which a process for implementing part of the display management function is provided separately from the window system or the operating system. In consequence, changes in the system configuration can be coped with only by conducting addition on a user program or the process which implements part of the display management function without modifying or altering the window system or the operating system. This eliminates modification or alteration of the window system or the operating program and increases the portability of the program.
