  • Publication number: 20040071872
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for jetting a liquid from a nozzle of a droplet jet head and applying it to a substrate, a jet amount of the liquid to any one of at least two divided regions of a coating region of the substrate is controlled to be greater than a jet amount to the other divided regions. A spin coater can be used to rotate the substrate. To divide the coating region of the substrate, the substrate can be divided into at least an inside circumferential region and an outside circumferential region positioned at predetermined distances from the center of rotation of the substrate. • Publication number: 20040009303
Abstract: The invention provides a method for suppressing insufficient spread of droplets or mixing of the droplets in neighboring regions when a liquid material is disposed in the regions on a substrate by ejecting the droplets composed of the liquid material. In addition, for a display device, the structure in which insufficient spread of droplets or mixing of the droplets in neighboring regions can be suppressed and the manufacturing method therefor are provided. To accomplish the above, substantially square regions can be formed by a partition provided on a substrate. In each region, among internal surfaces and of the partition surrounding this region, the internal surfaces forming the long sides of the region have irregularities. In addition, the distance between parts of the partition opposing each other with one of regions provided therebetween is increased and decreased along the long side of the region. • Publication number: 20030186613
Abstract: To provide a liquid material ejecting method and a liquid material ejecting apparatus, etc., in which uniform electro-optic characteristics, etc. are obtained in the planar direction. In the liquid material ejecting method and the liquid material ejecting apparatus, etc., a plurality of liquid materials are successively ejected toward a substrate from corresponding nozzle rows while relatively scanning a droplet ejection head or the substrate, and respective positions of ejection start and/or end points for the plurality of liquid materials are set different from each other. End portions of areas of the substrate, in which the plurality of liquid materials are applied, are thereby not or less overlapped with each other. Accordingly, with the liquid material ejecting method, variations in amount of the applied liquid materials in the planar direction can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20030171059
Abstract: The invention provides a method enabling a display material including display elements introduced into divided regions with partition walls to be reclaimed, and a method for manufacturing a display using the method. The color filter substrate is immersed in a developer in the step for reclaiming the base. Alkali can be used as the developer that is capable of being used in the development process for forming the partition walls. The developer is not required to be the actual developer that is used for forming the partition walls. Vibration or stress is applied to the filter element as a display element using an ultrasonic cleaning bath in the step for immersing the base in the developer, and the filter element as a display element is peeled off. The base is washed with water thereafter, followed by drying to return the base to the color filter substrate forming step.
