  • Patent number: 6282340
Abstract: The optical output of an optical device branched by means of an optical coupler is partially fetched by means of a wavelength stabilizer that includes an FBG section, whereby the passing wavelength characteristic of a fiber grating, which is believed originally to depend little on temperature, can be prevented from further changing. The wavelength of the optical device is tuned by means of a light wavelength tuning device that includes the wavelength stabilizer. Thus, the tuned wavelength is less liable to suffer an error that is attributable to the change of environmental temperature, so that the temperature dependence of the wavelength tuning operation is lowered.

  • Patent number: 6068746
Abstract: An oxygen sensor element is inserted and fixed in a housing. A base body is provided at an end of the housing. The base body is made of a resin. The base body has a flange at an end. The housing has a caulking portion which is deformable when received a pressing force acting in a direction parallel to an axis of the oxygen sensor. By deforming the caulking portion, the flange is tightly connected with the caulking portion.

  • Patent number: 5701559
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member, a charging device for charging the surface of the photosensitive member at a constant potential, a light beam for exposing the photosensitive member charged by the charging device to form an electrostatic latent image, a developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image by selectively sticking toner to the surface of the photosensitive member so as to correspond to the electrostatic latent image formed by the light beam, and a transfer device for transferring to recording paper the toner image formed by the developing device on the surface of the photosensitive member. The image forming apparatus is applied to a cleanerless system in which the developing device develops the toner image and simultaneously sucks and recovers residual toner remaining on the surface of the photosensitive member after transfer.

  • Patent number: 5381794
Abstract: An ultrasonic probe apparatus suitable for use in stress echocardiography testing is disclosed. This ultrasonic probe apparatus comprises, an ultrasonic probe provided with a phased array transducer for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves; a supporting member for supporting the ultrasonic probe rotationally and pivotally; and a plurality of deformable holding legs provided on the supporting member and formed of a copper plate coated with plastic so as to be able to be easily deformed by hand and further maintain its deformed state for a long time. Therefore, the ultrasonic probe apparatus can hold the ultrasonic probe stably onto a body surface of a person to be examined for a long time by appropriately deforming or bending any of the holding legs and then attaching the legs on the body surface in such a manner that the probe is in contact with the body surface, even if the body surface has various shape and unevenness.
