  • Publication number: 20230292271
Abstract: Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) to synchronize timing with a wireless network. Such methods include receiving, from a first node serving a first cell in the wireless network, a first message that includes an absolute reference time and a corresponding reference event within downlink, DL, transmissions by the first node; and determining whether the UE received, from the first node, a timing adjustment value from which the UE can estimate a propagation delay of the DL transmissions. Such methods include, based on determining that the UE did not receive the timing adjustment value, performing one of the following: transmitting, to the first node, an indication that the UE did not receive the timing adjustment value; or declaring radio link failure with respect to the first cell and establishing a connection with a second cell capable of providing the information included in the first message.

  • Patent number: 11743908
Abstract: A communication device receives an uplink grant from a node of a cellular network. The uplink grant indicates uplink radio resources allocated to the communication device in reoccurring time intervals. • Publication number: 20230269646
Abstract: Techniques for inter base station handovers are provided for the case where a wireless device is operating in a PDCP packet duplication mode. The handover techniques enable the wireless device to transition from PDCP packet duplication with the source cell to DAPS and to transition back to PDCP packet duplication with the target cell when the handover is complete. In some embodiments, the RLC entities established with the source cell are preserved during the inter base station handover. The handover techniques ensure that QoS requirements for URLLC can be met during the inter base station handover.

  • Publication number: 20230147845
Abstract: A method is performed by a wireless device for transmitting PDCP packets over a multi-hop path to a receiver, in accordance with particular embodiments. The method begins with receiving PDCP signalling indicating that at least one transmitted PDCP packet has not been received. For example, the PDCP signalling may comprise a PDCP status PDU, or may comprise PDCP data recovery or PDCP re-establishment RRC signalling. In response to receiving the PDCP signalling indicating that at least one transmitted PDCP packet has not been received, the wireless device retransmits the at least one transmitted PDCP packet that has not been received, even if said transmitted PDCP packet has been acknowledged by a lower protocol layer. A method is also performed by a network node in accordance with particular embodiments.
