  • Publication number: 20090260017
Abstract: A workflow execution device is provided. The latest update date information relating to date when update is performed is added to each step of a workflow definition file. When executing each step of the workflow definition file, processing execution date information relating to date when the execution is performed is added to data processed. Subsequently, when executing each step of the workflow definition file, the final processing date of the data is determined from the processing execution date information added to the data processed. In a case where the update date determined from the latest update date information prior to the execution is later than the final processing date of the data to be processed in the execution, the processing in the execution is cancelled.

  • Publication number: 20090091775
Abstract: When a client PC receives a request for printing output data, an imaging apparatus captures an image of a user. The image data of the user captured by the imaging apparatus and the output data is transferred to a management server. The management server performs predetermined image processing on the acquired image data, calculates a characteristic amount of the image data of the user, and registers the calculated characteristic amount and the output data by associating with each other. When the user requests printing of the output data from an image forming apparatus, image data of the user captured by the imaging apparatus is transferred to the management server. The management server calculates a characteristic amount of the acquired image data of the user, compares the calculated characteristic amount with the characteristic amount in the management server, and transfers the output data to the image forming apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20080055661
Abstract: An image forming apparatus executes functional processing according to specific functional processing information stored in a storage unit. The image forming apparatus determines whether any data remains in the storage unit when new functional processing information is set. The image forming apparatus prevents the specific functional processing information stored in the storage unit from being updated based on the new functional processing information if any data remains in the storage unit, and replaces the specific functional processing information stored in the storage unit with the new functional processing information if no data remains in the storage unit.

  • Publication number: 20070276809
Abstract: In a layout system, assuming that container (partial region) B is set with a high priority level, and the contents of container A are changed after a previous browse timing of the user, container B is preferentially laid out irrespective of the change in contents of container A. Upon generating a digital document by inserting contents in respective containers in accordance with the definition of a document template, the unread/read state of a container or content is managed for each user. The priority level of display of the container or a container in which the content is inserted is set in accordance with the unread/read state of the container or content, and a digital document on which a plurality of containers are arranged in accordance with the priority levels is generated.

  • Publication number: 20060245327
Abstract: An optical information writing apparatus includes a written state determination unit and a write strategy setting unit. The written state determination unit determines whether an area of an optical recording medium in which information is to be recorded is used or blank. The write strategy setting unit sets a write strategy in accordance with whether the area is used or blank. When the area is used, the write strategy setting unit performs an overwrite operation before setting the write strategy.
