  • Publication number: 20050280000
Abstract: The present invention is a semiconductor memory device having a logic block and a memory block on the same chip. In the memory device, unit memory cells each include at least two transistors, one of which is a write transistor for storing an electric charge into and releasing it from an electric charge storage node, and the other is a read transistor whose conductance in a channel region provided between a source and drain of the read transistor is modulated dependently on the amount of electric charge stored into or released from the electric charge storage node by the write transistor. The read transistor has a gate-insulating film thicker than that of a transistor provided in the logic block, and uses the same diffusion layer structure as that of the logic block.

  • Patent number: 6194759
Abstract: A memory cell with a small surface area is fabricated by forming source lines and data lines above and below and by running the channels to face up and down. The local data lines for each vertically stacked memory cell are connected to a global data line by way of separate selection by a molecular oxide semiconductor, and use of a large surface area is avoided by making joint use of peripheral circuits such as global data lines and sensing amplifiers by performing read and write operations in a timed multiplex manner. Moreover, data lines in multi-layers and memory cells (floating electrode cell) which are non-destructive with respect to readout are utilized to allow placement of memory cells at all intersecting points of word lines and data lines while having a folded data line structure. An improved noise tolerance is attained by establishing a standard threshold voltage for identical dummy cells even in any of the read verify, write verify and erase verify operations.

  • Patent number: 6152690
Abstract: A seal ring (1) securing inner shroud members (32) of stationary blades (31) is provided with arm portions (2, 3) projecting along lower surfaces of end portions of the inner shroud members (32). Honeycomb seals (4a, 4b) are mounted on the arm portions (2, 3), respectively. The honeycomb seal (4a) is disposed opposite fins (11a) provided on a rotor arm portion (11) of a platform (22) of a moving blade (21) so that a predetermined clearance (t) can be maintained between the honeycomb seal and the fins. On the other hand, the honeycomb seal (4b) is disposed opposite fins (14b) provided on a seal portion (14a) of a sealing plate (14) of the moving blade (21) so that a predetermined clearance (t) can be maintained between the honeycomb seal and the fins. The inner shroud members (32) undergo deformation after operation of the gas turbine.

  • Patent number: 6132173
Abstract: A cooled platform for a gas turbine moving blade which enables the platform to be cooled when the moving blade is cooled by steam. The moving blade is provided with a plurality of steam passages. Steam is introduced from the steam passage at the trailing edge portion, flows in a serpentine passage composed of other steam passages to cool the blade, and flows out to a blade root portion from a base portion of the steam passage at the leading edge portion, being recovered. Part of steam flowing into the platform from the base portion of the steam passage at the trailing edge portion enters first and second steam passages in the platform. On one side, the steam passes through first, third, and fourth steam passages, and on the other hand, the steam passes through second, fifth, and sixth steam passages. The steam is recovered together with the steam having cooled the blade at the base portion of steam passage at the leading edge portion.

  • Patent number: 5971707
Abstract: A gas turbine moving blade steam cooling system in which leakage of steam for cooling a moving blade is prevented and thermal stress at a blade root end portion is mitigated. Each end portion of a blade root portion (3) of the moving blade (1) is projected so as to form a projection portions (4a, 4b). A steam passage 5 is provided between the projection portions (4a, 4b) and a steam supply port 5a and a steam recovery port (5b) are provided downwardly with the respect to the steam passage 5. The steam supply port (5a) connects to a steam supply passage (20) and the steam recovery port (5b) connects to a steam recovery passage (21). Steam is supplied from the steam supply port (5a) into a blade interior and is recovered through the steam recovery port (5b). Side surface seal plates (6, 7 and 8) are provided for preventing steam leakage.

  • Patent number: 5810907
Abstract: A continuous melting apparatus for a low melting point metal is disclosed. The apparatus includes a melting furnace main body (5) forming a combustion chamber (6) surrounded by a refractory lining, a crucible (1) formed with a tapping orifice (2) at an appropriate position of a body and housed at the center portion of said combustion chamber, a burner (8) provided on a side wall portion of said melting furnace main body (5) for heating said crucible (1) in said combustion chamber (6) and a receptacle (6, 13) for receiving a melt flowing out through said tapping orifice (2) of said crucible (1). In the continuous melting apparatus, with employing a melting method of burner heating type which is inexpensive, easy to handle and maintenance, with successfully minimizing oxidation loss which was the shortcoming of the burner type. Also, generation of corundum on the furnace wall surface due to reaction of the aluminum melt and the furnace wall can be successfully avoided.

  • Patent number: 4311301
Abstract: A guide trough for molten products comprising an elongated body made of monolithic refractory material. A runway for conducting molten products is formed in the top surface of the elongated body, and a pair of reinforcing beams are embedded within the elongated body extending longitudinally thereof on opposite sides of the runway and proximate the top surface in which the runway is formed. Cross-members are spaced apart longitudinally of the elongated body and extend across the bottom thereof for interconnecting the reinforcing beam. Recesses in the elongated body expose portions of the reinforcing beams to render accessible portions of the reinforcing beams to allow them to be engaged, in use, by hooks for lifting the guide trough.
