  • Patent number: 6088737
Abstract: Information processing system and control method thereof is provided. A camera server apparatus determines, upon receiving a connection request from a client, whether or not an additional client to the number of clients who are currently being connected would exceed a permissible number. If it is determined that the number of clients exceeds the permissible number, image data is not transferred to the client apparatus which has just sent the connection request, instead, information indicative of the current access state is transferred. Accordingly, the client side is able to know the access state of the camera server with which the client wants to connect.

  • Patent number: 6021444
Abstract: In an information processing system which operates applications by linking them in one computer or between a plurality of computers, information by which applications of each computer of the system are allocated to a predetermined hierarchical structure is stored. In specifying an application, a path to the application in this predetermined hierarchical structure is used as identification information of the application. This provides a flexible inter-application cooperative system capable of meeting a complicated environment in which the components can dynamically change, in a system constituted by one or a plurality of computers.

  • Patent number: 5996701
Abstract: An independent two pump system comprising an implement hydraulic pump and a steering hydraulic pump is described. The system has an inexpensive structure and the capability of preventing a construction machine from engine stalling without impairing fuel economy. When the implement hydraulic pump is actuated with the output of an engine to operate an implement attached to the construction machine, while actuating the steering hydraulic pump with the output of the engine to turn a vehicle body of the machine, the load exerted on the implement is detected and if the detected load is determined to exceed a preset value, the displacement of the steering hydraulic pump is reduced to thereby reduce the load associated with turning of the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 5937166
Abstract: A method and apparatus for information processing which is capable of achieving a flexible floor control which can be shared by different applications, and which can respond to floor models of separate applications. An information processing apparatus is provided which controls floors of applications operated in a work environment formed by one or more computers. A FloorUnit representing an application which is an object of a floor control is controlled in association with each application. In addition, a FloorSpace representing a collection to which the FloorUnit belongs is controlled. When the application makes a request for acquiring the floor, the floor of the application in the FloorSpace to which the corresponding FloorUnit belongs is acquired by a FloorPolicy defined by the floor data in accordance with predetermined procedures.

  • Patent number: 5894573
Abstract: An arrangement for executing a process in a data processing system using first and second programs each including executable codes and data in coordinated fashion in which a portion of the data and executable codes from the first program is provided to the second program during execution of the process. In execution of the process, portions of the data and executable codes provided by the first program to the second program are forcibly added or forcibly substituted and executed by the second program. The data and executable code portions are provided by injection and the injection and execution are conducted by imparting an acknowledgement of the addition or substitution and execution to the first program by the second program.
