  • Publication number: 20130057684
Abstract: When an image of content reproduced by a first reproduction device is shot, a content display support device obtains the shot image and positional information that specifies the position and orientation of a shooting device. The content display support device generates combination content by visualizing and embedding the positional information in the shot image and transmits the combination content to a second reproduction device. A portable terminal obtains the positional information from an image obtained by shooting the combination content reproduced by the second reproduction device. The portable terminal requests supplementary information by transmitting the positional information to the content display support device. The supplementary information associated with the positional information is transmitted from the content display support device to the portable terminal and displayed at the portable terminal.

  • Publication number: 20020075503
Abstract: In a printer-copiers system of an office area (“OA”) network, an automatic document feeder (ADF) is used in an image output device which selectively outputs the image read from the document or received from an external device (for printing or facsimile transmission). If some trouble occurs during the reading of a document and disables the read operation, the conventional image output device is brought into a substantially non-operating state (system down), when viewed from the external device, and remains therein till the trouble is removed and the read operation is enabled. Unless the user promptly takes the proper measures, not only the copy job but also the print job stagnates. It is therefore an object of the present invention to minimize the duration of a period during which the read operation is disabled by promptly canceling the hang-up of the processor for controlling the reading of the document.

  • Patent number: 5179392
Abstract: A multi-color image forming apparatus forming an image of a plurality of colors in one processing by using a plurality of laser beams and a plurality of developing devices, in the case where any of the laser beams becomes unusable during forming a mono-color image, makes the image data to have been outputted from the laser beam to be replaced by that of another laser beam which can be usable, then to output it. The apparatus, in the case where any of the laser beams and developing devices become unusable because of trouble caused therein during forming an image of a plurality of colors, forms an image as an emergency measure by using the remaining usable laser beams or developing devices. Moreover, in the case where any of the laser beams and developing devices for any color become unusable because of trouble caused therein during forming an image of a plurality of colors, express the color by changing the density of another color.
