  • Patent number: 5319459
Abstract: An apparatus for identifying positions of pixel defects on a display screen, such as a cathode-ray tube or a liquid crystal display, operates to pick up an image signal of a display screen representing a predetermined image with an imaging camera, shift the image signal of the imaging camera by one pixel in one and another directions with respect to the display screen, and obtain a difference of a signal level between a defective portion and a normal portion on the screen, based on the signals obtained when the image signal of the imaging camera is shifted in one and another directions. The apparatus also serves to calculate a relative inclination between the imaging camera and the display screen for obtaining a difference of a signal level between a defective portion and a normal portion of each pixel. The results make it possible to clearly identify the difference of the signal level between the defective portion and the normal portion.

  • Patent number: 4963828
Abstract: For the purpose of automated evaluation of white uniformity, the apparatus comprises a color television camera for picking up an image of white color displayed on the color cathode-ray tube, a circuit for separating color signals from the output signal of the color television camera, A/D converters for converting the analog color signals into digital color signals, memories for storing the digital color signals, and a computer for analyzing the contents of the memories. A nonuniform color portion is extracted from the color distribution of the display on the cathode-ray tube, and quantities of various features of the nonuniform color portion, for example, the hue, saturation and area of the nonuniform color portion and the degree of change in the saturation at the marginal edge contour of the nonuniform color portion are calculated by the computer to provide parameters used for evaluation of the white uniformity.

  • Patent number: 4590238
Abstract: A high-solid self-adhesive having a solid content of 65 to 75% by weight and composed of an emulsion obtained by emulsion-copolymerizing a vinyl monomer mixture containing acrylate esters as the main ingredient and further at least one hydrophilic monomer of formula (A), (B) or (C). ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is H or COOH, R.sub.2 is H or CH.sub.3 and R.sub.3 is H or CH.sub.2 OH.A process for the production of the high-solid self-adhesive comprising successively adding a pre-emulsion obtained by previously mixing said vinyl monomer mixture, a surfactant mixture of a nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant and water, to the reaction system to carry out an emulsion copolymerization in the presence of a catalyst.

  • Patent number: 4586247
Abstract: An apparatus for inserting electronic elements comprises: a board positioning means having a pair of rails disposed on an X-Y table, the board positioning means being adapted to fix and position a board which is fed thereto along the rails; an element supply means having a plurality of element supply units each adapted to feed to its element supply position an electronic element to be inserted in the board, the element supply units being arranged such that their element supply positions are placed in one or a plurality of rows; a plurality of chucks each formed such as to correspond to the configuration and size of the associated electronic elements to be inserted; an inserting head having a holder mechanism and adapted to detachably support one of the chucks by the holder mechanism and to reciprocatively move between a chuck exchanging position and element supply and insertion positions; and a chuck exchanging means including a chuck unit in which the chucks are arranged on an index-movable plate and a chuck

  • Patent number: 4526420
Abstract: A seat cover fixing construction for fixing a bag shaped seat cover to a seat. An engagement portion of the seat extends around the part of the seat near the edge of the seat cover, extends from the seat in the general direction away from the closed end of the bag shape of the seat cover, and is formed with a free edge. A resilient band is shaped as an endless ribbon, and a first edge of this band is coupled to and extends around the edge of the open end of the seat cover. The two edges of the band are of approximately the same length. The band is thinner at its central portion than at its two edges. The resilient band is engaged inside and around the engagement portion of the seat, with the first edge of the band lying generally next to the free edge of the engagement portion of the seat. Thus, the band has been turned inside out to fit under the engagement portion.

  • Patent number: 4388442
Abstract: A stabilizer or dispersing agent for use in a suspension polymerization of a vinyl compound is provided which comprises a modified and partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol having an average polymerization degree of from 200 to 3,000 and an average hydrolysis degree of from 60 to 90 mol % and including anion hydrophilic groups at the side chains thereof, wherein said anion hydrophilic groups are selected from the group consisting of dicarboxyl groups and/or esters thereof and/or salts thereof, sulfuric esters and/or salts thereof and phosphoric esters and/or salts thereof, and the content of said anion hydrophilic groups is in the range of from 0.02 to 10 mol % per unit mol of the polyvinyl alcohol. A process for preparing a polymer of a vinyl compound is also provided wherein said vinyl compound is polymerized in a suspension thereof suspended by the use of the stabilizer or dispersing agent.
