  • Patent number: 4672150
Abstract: The invention relates to a conductor supporting apparatus for gas insulated equipment in which a high voltage conductor which is arranged in a grounded tank is insulated and supported by an insulating spacer having attaching metal fittings at both end portios. In the apparatus of the invention, a cylindrical insulating barrier having a flange portion on the side of the free end so as to be substantially perpendicular to the surface of the insulating spacer is attached by use of the attaching metal fitting of the insulating spacer on at least the side of the grounded tank. The insulating spacer is surrounded by this insulating barrier through a space. By use of the insulating barrier, the approach of conductive foreign matters to the insulating spacer can be prevented and the high dielectric strength can be maintained.

  • Patent number: 4566864
Abstract: As a drive source of a blowing fan for a vehicular radiator, there is used a flattened electric motor, wherein there is fixed to one of two divided housings a shaft, on which there is rotatably supported a rotor to which a flattened armature coil is joined and to which the blowing fan is fixed through a radiating member. Thus, the heat, which is generated in the armature coil, is transferred through the rotor and/or the shaft to the radiating member, by which it is efficiently radiated into the air.

  • Patent number: 4549132
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of testing and verifying a performance for insulation to ground of a disconnecting switch when breaking a charging current. This disconnecting switch has a movable electrode and a fixed electrode which are arranged in a tank so as to face each other. One of these electrodes is connected to an electrostatic capacity load and the other is connected to a power supply. This test method comprises the steps of: applying a voltage from the power supply through the disconnecting switch to the load to cause the voltage to be trapped in the load; and applying a voltage of the polarity opposite to that of the trapped charged voltage from the power supply to the disconnecting switch to cause the discharge between those electrodes, thereby verifying the performance for insulation to ground.

  • Patent number: 4400544
Abstract: The invention provides an efficient method for the preparation of cycloheone by the liquid-phase oxidation of cyclohexene in the presence of a catalyst system. The rate of conversion of the cyclohexene and the yield of cyclohexanone are unexpectedly increased when the reaction mixture brought into contact with oxygen or air contains a limited amount of an aliphatic alcohol having 2-10 carbon atoms in a molecule such as ethyl alcohol with the catalyst system composed of a palladium compound, e.g. PdCl.sub.2, and at least one co-catalytic ingredient which is a copper compound or iron compound such as CuCl.sub.2 or FeCl.sub.3. The influence of benzene or cyclohexane admixed in the reaction mixture was studied to indicate no adverse effects or even better results in the reaction giving further advantages of the process in which the starting cyclohexene need not be purified and can be used as prepared by the partial hydrogenation of benzene or partial dehydrogenation of cyclohexane.

  • Patent number: 4345471
Abstract: A light source for forming an optical path extending across a closed vessel and a light receiving unit for receiving light from the light source are disposed outside the closed vessel. A portion to have its temperature measured as lies in the closed vessel is provided with a temperature detecting device which consists of a temperature sensor and a light interceptive plate. The temperature sensor is formed to be downwardly convex by sticking two members of different coefficients of thermal expansion one over the other (the member of the larger coefficient of thermal expansion being arranged over the member of the smaller coefficient of thermal expansion). The light interceptive plate is arranged over the member of the larger coefficient of thermal expansion. When the portion to have its temperature measured has reached a predetermined temperature, the temperature sensor inverts the downwardly convex state into an upwardly convex state.
