  • Patent number: 5127250
Abstract: A roller leveler comprises a raisable upper work roll group, and a lower work roll group, the upper and lower work roll groups being arranged in a zigzag form so that the axes of three work rolls adjacent to each other at upper and lower sides and three points of intersection with the plane crossing these axes may make three vertexes of an isosceles triangle, with alternate lower work rolls in the lower work roll group being raisable to act as upper work rolls when a relatively thick hoop is leveled.

  • Patent number: 4744292
Abstract: A device for roasting meats having meat holding portion, a casing, a guide lever, a spring body, a roasting portion, and a lever for operation. In this device, the meat is roasted from both sides in the roasting portion and movement of the meat into and out of the roasting portion is performed by a remote control from outside of the casing. The roasting portion, grills, for roasting and guide rails which guide the grills to the roasting portion are secured in the casing. Further, a heating opening is provided at the upper surface of the casing so as to use the heat in the roasting portion to keep roasted meat warm.

  • Patent number: 4388894
Abstract: A two stroke engine having an exhaust port formed in the cylinder wall. At the upper portion of the exhaust port, there is provided a rotary type exhaust timing control valve which is adapted to be actuated by an electric servomotor to control the exhaust timing in accordance with the engine speed. A control circuit is provided for controlling a power supply to the servomotor in accordance with the engine speed and the position of the valve. A timer switch is provided for providing a power supply to the control circuit for a certain time after the engine ignition switch is turned off so that the valve is moved to the retracted position after the engine is stopped. As the valve is thus moved to the retracted position, carbon deposits on the valve is scraped off by a scraping edge formed in the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4185261
Abstract: An electromagnetic lifting device comprising a plurality of electromagnets having a variety of individual magnetic pole face areas and an inverted generally U- or W-shape connected with each other and further rigidly connected to a suspension member, and specifically adapted to electromagnetically lift up only a single sheet of ferromagnetic metal sheet by energizing a selected one or plurality of the electromagnets to an extent of necessary and enough electromagnetic energy in accordance with a thickness of the single sheet of metal and exerting thus-produced electromagnetic force to that single sheet of metal so that only that single sheet of metal can be lifted upwardly away from a pile of such metal sheets.

  • Patent number: 4030441
Abstract: An electromagnet is secured to one end of a tug rope which is to be paid out from a tugboat towards a ship to be tugged, and the electromagnet consists of a plurality of relatively movable magnetic pole members, and hence the whole magnetic pole surface of the electromagnet is composed of a plurality of magnetic pole surfaces of said magnetic pole members. Thus, the end surfaces of said magnetic pole members may accommodate themselves to the curved surface or non-irregular surface of the hull of a ship to be tugged due to the relative, independent movements of the respective magnetic pole members, thereby bringing each of the end surfaces of the magnetic pole members into intimate contact therewith, whereby the end of the tug rope may be rigidly secured to the hull of the ship by means of the electromagnet thus facilitating connection of the tugboat with the ship to be tugged, in positive, safe and simple manner.

  • Patent number: 3968986
Abstract: An electromagnetic lifting device for handling a ferromagnetic material, which device has a magnetic assembly consisting of a plurality of movable magnetic pole members having relatively small pole areas, and said assembly has a given total pole area, thus said total area being the sum of the pole areas of the movable magnetic pole members. In this electromagnetic lifting device, the respective magnetic pole members to be excited electrically are assembled in a manner to permit same to move vertically relative to each other, so that the magnetic pole members can accommodate themselves to the configuration, such as concave, convex or curved surface of a ferromagnetic material and move in vertical direction so as to freely contact the surface of the ferromagnetic material, thereby exerting an effective lifting force on the ferromagnetic material.
