Abstract: 5-Fluorouracil derivative having the formula ##STR1## wherein R represents hydrogen atom or 2-tetrahydrofuryl group is produced by reacting more than equi-mole of 2,3-dihydrofuran with 5-fluorouracil in a polar aprotic solvent with a catalytically effective amount of a catalyst selected from the group consisting of metal halides, non-metal halides, tertiary amine salt of inorganic acids and organic acids in neutral or basic condition at 50.degree. to 150.degree. C under pressure.

Abstract: A multi-nozzle shower head having a housing secured to a holder and a nozzle section with a plurality of nozzles rotatably mounted on the housing. The housing and nozzle section each have a wall transverse to the flow of water. The housing wall has a water passage opening spaced from the center of rotation by the same distance as each of the plurality of nozzles so that only one nozzle may register therewith at a time. A separator plate is rotatable with the nozzle section but is mounted to bear against the side of the housing wall opposite that with respect to which the nozzle section rotates. This separator plate maintains the contact and parallel relation between the walls and supports the walls to prevent any tilt which might result in transverse leakage. In addition the nozzle section is gasketed to prevent transverse leakage within the nozzle section from nozzle to nozzle.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions with controlled rates of gastro-intestinal absorption are prepared by dissolution or suspension of the therapeutically active agent in an absorption depressive agent selected from the group consisting of unsaturated aliphatic alcohols or their esters, unsaturated aliphatic ethers, unsaturated aliphatic acids or their salts, their esters or their amides and natural occurring oils containing more than 35% by weight of any of the above-mentioned substances, said absorption depressive materials having 12 - 22 carbon atoms in their unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon chains and being liquid at the normal temperature.
