  • Patent number: 5550742
Abstract: A scheduled motion plan for a vehicle which satisfies constraints and demanded specifications in consideration of the performance of the control system on condition that the control system which is conventionally used is used is made. To guide and control the motion of the vehicle on the basis of the plan, an apparatus for planning the motion of the vehicle has an onboard simulator containing a dynamic model and guidance and control model, a simulation condition setting unit for setting simulation conditions of the onboard simulator, an analyzer for evaluating a simulation result by the onboard simulator, and a scheduler for making a motion plan. The apparatus sets an ideal velocity at a position on the basis of constraints and demanded specifications, compares it with a position, a velocity, or the simulation result, judges a plan type, and sets the simulation conditions 180 for the plan type.

  • Patent number: 5424325
Abstract: Aminoketone derivatives according to the present invention strongly inhibit thiol protease such as calpain, papain, cathepsin B, cathepsin H, cathepsin L or the like and have excellent properties concerning absorbance on oral administration, tissue distribution and cell membrane permeability. The aminoketone derivatives cart thus be used as therapeutic agents for treating muscular dystrophy, cataract, cardiac infarction, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, amyotrophy, osteoporosis and hypercalcemia and so on. It may also be used as therapeutic agents for preventing metastasis of cancer. In addition, the present derivatives are also applicable as intermediates for the preparation of ketone derivatives, which have inhibitory activity against thiol protease.

  • Patent number: 5267148
Abstract: A computer in a securities dealing decision support system is connected via a communication line to a dealer/trader terminal device and customer terminal device. A voice communication line is connected between the dealer/trader terminal device and customer terminal device. The information generated at the computer is outputted to both the terminal devices at the same time. The customer can decide the securities dealing by using the voice communication line while looking at the same information as that for the dealer/trader.

  • Patent number: 5267348
Abstract: A fuzzy evaluation and modification system evaluates and modifies the fuzzy knowledge in a fuzzy reasoning system. The fuzzy knowledge includes fuzzy rules, each described in an "if . . . , then . . ." format, and membership functions defining meanings of propositions described in the "if . . . , then" parts. Results of the fuzzy reasoning are monitored and compared with real data of a plurality of real test cases to evaluate the fuzzy knowledge. An influence power of each of the fuzzy rules with respect to the fuzzy reasoning results is attained for all the cases. Superpositional display of real data on the membership functions of the "if . . ." part and reasoning results on the membership functions of the "then . . ." part indicates a relationship between the membership function and the real data.

  • Patent number: 5161103
Abstract: A real time status monitoring method for inputting randomly varying data relating to a plurality of objects, processing a plurality of functions having some of the data as variables and monitoring an overall status including the objects on a real time basis, and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. A table indicating the presence or absence of data change in the objects and the presence or absence of variables related to the data change in the funtions is prepared. In processing the functions, the table is referenced and only those functions which include the variables related to the data change are processed.

  • Patent number: 5109475
Abstract: Method and system of selecting desirable time series data pieces from many time series data pieces. Characteristics extracted from time series data pieces are applied to neurons and neuron state fluctuations are supervised and evaluated through execution of neurocomputing to select desirable time series data.

  • Patent number: 4680718
Abstract: There is an attitude control method and system for a satellite. This system comprises a star catalogue of the universe, a star sensor and means for calculating features on the surface of the star sensor from a signal detected by the star sensor. The calculated features are compared with a table of which the star catalogue was reconstituted so as to easily search the features, thereby determining the attitude of the satellite.

  • Patent number: 4658361
Abstract: An apparatus for determining attitude of a satellite by using a star sensor includes a ground terminal equipped with a data processing unit and star catalogue, a star sensor, an estimating the unit for estimating attitude of the satellite and a decision unit for deciding the attitude determination mode I or II in dependence on attitude stability of the satellite. In the mode I, angles representative of the satellite attitude are estimated by the estimating unit on the basis of a star sub-catalogue prepared by utilizing a priori information. In the mode II, the attitude angles are estimated by the data processing unit through data transaction with the ground terminal without resorting to the use of the priori information.
