  • Publication number: 20060177716
Abstract: There is provided an electrolyte material for a fuel cell having a high proton conductivity even in a state without humidification or moisture. The object is achieved by the electrolyte material for a fuel cell having a proton conductive system at least comprising (a) a Brönsted acid and (b) a base having a lone electron-pair, wherein the base (b) has a structure in which one or more groups are added to a group having the lone electron-pair, and a total number of constitutional atoms other than H atom included in all the added group is three or less.

  • Patent number: 6252560
Abstract: A multibeam antenna for forming multiple beams includes an antenna array and a Butler-matrix feeder circuit. The antenna array is composed of 2n main antenna elements and a group of 2n or less auxiliary antenna elements placed at either one or both sides of the main antenna elements. Antenna power is supplied to the antenna array from the Butler-matrix feeder circuit and is distributed to all the antenna elements with higher power to the elements located in the middle of the array and lower power to the elements located at sides of the array. Phase of the power supplied to the main antenna elements is shifted by 180-degree, and the phase-shifted power is distributed to predetermined auxiliary antenna elements. Thus, sidelobes associated with antenna beams are reduced and the beam directivity is improved.

  • Patent number: 6106692
Abstract: There is provided a concentration sensor for measurement of concentrations of one or plural target substances in a system, with a detection electrode of conductive diamond. The measuring method with the concentration sensor involves measuring the reaction potentials of plural target substances in a sample containing and determining the concentrations of the plural substances by use of the difference between the resulting reaction potentials of the respective substances. The measuring method can also determine the concentration of a single substance in a sample containing one kind of target substance.

  • Patent number: 5815112
Abstract: A planar array antenna comprises a plurality of antenna elements disposed in a predetermined matrix pattern. Feeders extend from a feed to the antenna elements. High-frequency switches cooperatively open or close the feeders connected to antenna elements of at least one row of the matrix pattern located at both a right-end and a left-end regions of an antenna surface. Switching signals are supplied to the high-frequency switches from switching terminals for alternately activating the associated antenna elements, thereby providing two time-divisional array antennas offset in position by a distance corresponding to the width of at least one row of the antenna elements controlled.

  • Patent number: 4845576
Abstract: A magnetic recording/reproduction apparatus of the invention has a magnetic head for reading a vertical magnetically recorded signal, an inplane magnetic recorded signal or a magnetic recorded signal having both a vertical magnetic component and an inplane magnetic component and for supplying a reproduced signal, a first analog signal converting circuit for converting the reproduced signal into an analog inplane reproduced signal when the reproduced signal is a vertical reproduced analog signal, a second analog signal converting circuit for bypassing an inplane analog reproduced signal when the reproduced signal is the inplane reproduced analog signal, and a third analog signal converting circuit for converting the reproduced signal into an inplane reproduced analog signal when the reproduced signal is the inplane reproduced analog signal. The circuits are switched to operate selectively in accordance with the type of signals reproduced from a magnetic recording medium.
