  • Patent number: 6764650
Abstract: A rack transportation assembly having a projecting member projecting forward is fixed onto a floor by a plurality of adjusters so that its rack transportation surface is brought to a desired level. The projecting member has a first reference surface facing upward. A treatment unit structure having a rack transferring area has a second reference surface in its lower surface. The treatment unit structure is pushed toward the rack transportation assembly under a condition that the second reference surface is lifted upward using height-adjustable casters so as to not become higher than the first reference surface. Then, the treatment unit structure is lowered so that the second reference surface is mounted onto the first reference surface, and a height in the front side of the treatment unit structure is adjusted using the plurality of adjusters.

  • Publication number: 20040017156
Abstract: A lighting device having a circuit board with a fine tube inserting opening, and electric parts, outputs high-frequency power to an emission bulb having a bent tube. A cover member has a cap on the one end side, and a holder on the other end side. A fine tube protruding from the end of the emission bulb, and having a bent portion on the middle portion thereof, is disposed so that the tip end portion from the bent portion is positioned close to the axis passing through the center of the cap as compared with the base portion from the bent portion on the side of the emission bulb. A principal amalgam is contained at a position on the cap side as to the position where the electric parts, which emit relatively a great quantity of heat, have been disposed. The bent portion is disposed on the side of the emission bulb as to the circuit board, and the tip end portion is inserted into the fine tube inserting opening, and is extended on the cap side.

  • Patent number: 6417615
Abstract: A compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp (10) which is equivalent to a typical light bulb is provided. The self-ballasted fluorescent lamp (11) induces a cover (14), a ballast (16), an arc tube (18), a base (12) and a globe (17) and formed into a shape whose outline dimensions are nearly identical to the standard dimensions of a typical light bulb. The arc tube (18) is comprised of a plurality of U-shaped bent bulbs (31) which have an inner tube diameter ranging from 6 to 9 mm and arranged in parallel with one another. Having a bulb height ranging form 50 to 60 mm and a discharge path from 400 to 500 mm, the lamp power is 16 to 23 W. An envelope (19) comprising the cover (14)and the globe (17) has a height ranging from 110 to 125 mm including the height of the base (12).

  • Patent number: 6290907
Abstract: A sample handling system comprising: a transportation line including a combination of plural partitive line units; and a plurality of handling units, wherein each of the plural partitive line units and each of the plurality of handling units form a pair, and each handling unit is installed removably from its corresponding partitive line unit. Each handling unit transmits inoperative information to the transportation line when it becomes inoperative. The transportation line transmits this inoperative information to the central controller. The central controller monitors handling units at which the sample rack can stop over. The sample rack avoids stopover at the inoperative handling unit, but is allowed to advance to the subsequent handling unit passing through the partitive line unit which makes a pair with the inoperative handling unit.

  • Patent number: 5988857
Abstract: An automatic processing system and method which has high flexibility, extendibility and failure resistance. An automatic processing system and method that provides for the decentralized control of processings of plural samples. The invention combines a plurality of processing instruments and makes use of sample containers for each sample. Each sample container includes an information processing mechanism, a memory mechanism and a communication mechanism. The sample container has stored therein an abstract processing procedure, and determines, based on information concerning the processing instruments obtained from the processing instruments and the abstract processing procedure, a processing procedure for processing the sample. Thereafter, the processing instruments process the sample based on the processing procedure determined by the sample container.

  • Patent number: 5204584
Abstract: A low pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp having a suitable combination of a main amalgam and an auxiliary amalgam. The main amalgam has a mercury vapor pressure not less than a third as much as a mercury vapor pressure of pure mercury at a temperature between 0.degree. C. and 50.degree. C. The auxiliary amalgam has a mercury vapor pressure not less than a third as much as the mercury vapor presure of said main amalgam at a temperature between 0.degree. C. and 50.degree. C. Such a combination is advantageous in that the mercury vapor pressure of the lamp is maintained at a certain level in the low and middle tube wall temperature area and that the luminous output is maintained at a high level in that temperature area, and also that the increasing speed of luminous flux of lamps using these amalgams during a starting period (a luminous flux increasing characteristic) is fast nevertheless, in the low and middle tube wall temperature area.

  • Patent number: 5079478
Abstract: In a fluorescent lamp, an elongated envelope containing, e.g., an Argon gas is sealed by covering each end with a stem. Through this stem, a pair of leading-in wires are introduced into the interior of the envelope, such that those portions of the leading-in wires which are located inside the envelope constitute internal wire portions. A filament coil, which has an emitter coated thereon in a predetermined range, is supported between the internal wire portions. An auxiliary anode, which is connected at one end to each internal wire portion, extends inside the envelope in the discharge direction of the fluorescent lamp. The auxiliary anode is bent such that its distal end is located within the emitter-coated range, as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the filament coil, and is located close to the central axis of the discharge space, as viewed in the radial direction of the filament coil.
