    Abstract: The present invention provides a wireless communication system and a terminal. A base station notifies terminals of an intensity of a received interference power. The terminal controls a transmission power for transmitting data to the base station, which is one of base stations and to which data is to be transmitted, by referencing an intensity of interference power (OSI) notified from base stations to which data is not to be transmitted. The terminal calculates a decision value for increasing/decreasing the transmission power, wherein the decision value is variable according to the current transmission power of the terminal and propagation attenuations between the terminal and the base stations to which data is not to be transmitted, and variably controls the amount of transmission power increase/decrease according to the decision value for increasing/decreasing a transmission power.

    Abstract: A production method for a semiconductor integrated circuit includes: creating a model parameter of an element constituting a cell, wherein the model parameter is defined by a design value and a distribution function of variability from the design value; performing a circuit simulation using the model parameter to create a response function that expresses response of cell characteristic to the model parameter; and creating a statistical cell library by using the response function. The statistical cell library used for circuit design and verification gives an expected value and statistical variation of the cell characteristic. The statistical variation is expressed by a product of the distribution function and sensitivity. The sensitivity is calculated based on the response function. When the model parameter is updated, the statistical cell library is updated by using the post-update model parameter and the response function without performing a circuit simulation.

    Abstract: A radio communication system includes a first radio station for dividing codewords into communication units and transmitting the divided codewords by modulating them in every communication unit, and a second radio station for coupling and decoding signals obtained by demodulating the communication units. The radio stations have common information of first bits, equal to maximum bits per symbol of the communication units, and an encoding type list. The first station modulates and transmits the communication units with a modulation type with second bits. The second radio station receives the communication units modulated by the first radio station, demodulates the communication units with a modulation type with third bits, combines and decodes the demodulated signals with encoding types in the encoding type list, and obtains a result of the decoding, as reception information, by an encoding type in which no error is detected in the result of decoding.

    Abstract: A semiconductor device includes: a control target circuit section; and a voltage control section configured to dynamically control a supply voltage to the control target circuit section. The control target circuit section includes: a delay monitor circuit configured to measure a delay in the control target circuit section as a monitor delay; and a target delay register configured to store a target delay data which shows a target delay as a target value of the monitor delay. The delay monitor circuit compares the monitor delay and the target delay shown by the target delay data and sends a comparison resultant signal to the voltage control section to show a result of the comparison. The voltage control section controls the supply voltage based on the comparison resultant signal such that the monitor delay approaches to the target delay.

    Abstract: A friction clutch includes an iron inner clutch plate and two iron outer clutch plates. Each clutch plate has a sliding surface that friction-engages with the other clutch plates. A diamond-like carbon film containing silicon, which functions as a solid lubricant, is formed on the sliding surface of each outer clutch plate through a conventional method such as plasma chemical vapor deposition. The diamond-like carbon film contains 1 wt % to 80 wt % of silicon. A coupling device includes a pilot clutch mechanism that has the friction clutch and an electromagnetic actuator. As a result, the friction clutch has an improved resistance to wear, and the coupling device is durable.

The receiver station executes demodulation by selecting the modulation type used for demodulation from the propagation path quality, summarizes the demodulation result with addition of reception of the signal having a zero degree of likeliness for the number of wanted bits, and executes decoding to the result of demodulation.

The transmitter station encodes a signal with sufficient error correcting capabilities to create a codeword. The transmitter station allocates the bits from the codeword to each symbol, modulates the symbols using a modulation type which processes symbols each having a number of bits equal to or smaller than the maximum number of bits per symbol, and transmits the modulated symbols. The receiver station demodulates the symbols using a modulation type which processes a larger number of bits per symbol as the transmission path quality is higher from among modulation types which process symbols having a number of bits equal to or smaller than the maximum number of bits per symbol.

The frame discarding management table has a MAC address to be discarded, indicating a received frame to be discarded if the address matches the source MAC address of the received frame, a target port ID, and the number of discarded frames. A management apparatus discards a received frame if the source MAC address matches the MAC address to be discarded and counts the number of discarded frames.
