  • Publication number: 20060108026
Abstract: A power transmission shaft which can be evaluated on torsional fatigue strength based on a management indicator different from compressive residual stress in an outer surface. In a power transmission shaft having outer circumferential serrations 1a, 1b, torsional fatigue strength is evaluated by using compressive residual stress at a depth of 30 ?m (and 50 ?m) from an outer surface of a rising portion of each concave of the outer circumferential serrations 1a, 1b as a management indicator. A high torsional fatigue strength can be secured by having a compressive residual stress of 1150 MPa or more at a depth of 30 ?m (and 50 ?m) from the outer surface.

  • Publication number: 20060008014
Abstract: In a radio-communication system and a radio station, one or more subcarriers are grouped, and the maximum bit number per symbol of the modulation method used for each subcarrier is determined for each group and shared between a transmitting station and a receiving station. The transmitting station divides and allocates a coded signal to subcarriers in accordance with the bit number per symbol, modulates each of the allocated signals by a predetermined modulation method, and transmits the modulated signals. The receiving station demodulates the received signal by the predetermined modulation method, adds a signal having zero likelihood when the bit number per symbol of a modulation method for demodulation is different from a maximum bit number, and decodes the demodulated signal by summarizing the demodulated results.

  • Publication number: 20050197065
Abstract: A transmitter station and receiver station have common maximum number of transmission bits per symbol of each subcarrier and information of encoding types to be selected. The transmitter station selects the modulation type from the propagation path quality of each subcarrier, executes the encoding with the encoding type corresponding to the number of bits for communication with the selected modulation type, distributes the maximum number of transmission bits per symbol of each subcarrier by dividing the code, and transmits the data through modulation of only the number of bits for communication with the selected modulation type among distributed bits in each subcarrier. The receiver station executes demodulation by selecting the modulation type used for demodulation from the propagation path quality, summarizes the demodulation result with addition of reception of the signal having a zero degree of likeliness for the number of wanted bits, and executes decoding to the result of demodulation.

  • Publication number: 20050167225
Abstract: A friction clutch has a plurality of iron inner clutch plates and a plurality of iron outer clutch plates. Both the clutch plates have sliding surfaces which are friction-engaged each other. A thin carbon film in a diamond form, which functions as a solid lubricant, is formed on each of the sliding surfaces of the outer clutch plates by a known method such as the Chemical Vapor Deposition method. A known nitride treatment or quenching and tempering treatment is applied to the sliding surfaces of the inner clutch plates. A coupling device has a pilot clutch mechanism with the friction clutch and an electromagnetic actuator. As a result, the friction clutch is resistant to wear and the coupling device is excellent in durability.

  • Publication number: 20050013512
Abstract: A sliding guide apparatus guides a movable member for a base. A pair of guide surfaces is formed on the base. A pair of sliding surfaces is formed on the movable member as so to be opposed to the pair of guide surfaces, respectively. Lubricating oil is supplied between the guide surface and the sliding surface. The sliding surface is configured so that one half portion of the sliding surface which is close to the center of gravity of the movable member is asymmetric with the other half portion of the sliding surface which is far from the center of gravity of the movable member. Since load of the movable member that acts disproportionately on the sliding surface is balanced with dynamic pressure of the lubricating oil that occurs between the guide surface and the sliding surface, it is prevented that the movable member is slanted.

  • Patent number: 6752120
Abstract: A crankpin 1 of a crankshaft rotatably supports a big end of a connecting rod 4 through a sliding bearing 5 fitted therein. The sectional profile of the crankpin 1 takes the form of a polygon whose profile is made of plural arcs of curvature. When the crankpin 1 rotates relative to the bearing 5, the wedge effect is generated to decrease the squeeze loss, a kind of the power loss. And, the oil film thickness between the crankpin 1 and the bearing 5 is secured to prevent the shear loss, another kind of the power loss, from increasing, whereby the power loss can be decreased in total.

  • Patent number: 6749378
Abstract: A semi-contact guide apparatus includes a bed as a first member, a column as a second member, a plural number of oil-hold portions and an oil-supply device. The column is movably guided on the bed. A sliding surface is formed on the column. The plural number of oil-hold portions is formed on the sliding surface. Dimensions of the oil-hold portions are defined according to load distribution of the weight of the column. The oil-supply device supplies lubricant oil to the oil-hold portions. The amount of lubricant oil supplied to the oil-hold portion is defined according to each of dimensions of the oil-hold portions. Since the dimensions such as areas of the oil-hold portions and the amount of the lubricant oil supplied to the oil-hold portion are defined as above, inclination of the column on the bed is prevented, and the column can be smoothly moved on the bed.

  • Patent number: 6721417
Abstract: A call center system is composed of stations connected with each other through a WAN, and each station has the function of executing the waiting control of an incoming call and the function of executing the distribution control of the incoming call. A call history information transmitting and receiving control unit attaches call history information for indicating the state of waiting control and the state of transfer of the incoming call, to the incoming call to be transferred to another station, and conversely receives call history information attached to the incoming call transferred from another station. A waiting control unit executes the waiting control and distribution control of the incoming call corresponding to the call history information based on the call history information received by the call history information transmitting and receiving control unit.

  • Publication number: 20040005625
Abstract: A cDNA is prepared from mRNA. The prepared cDNA is subjected to incision with two different types of restriction enzymes. The sequence of a portion of each of the fragments obtained as a result of treatment is determined, and the fragments are classified on the basis of the determined sequence by using a primer set. At the same time, the fragments are amplified in a manner that the relative expression magnitude thereof continues to be reflected therein. When the fragments have been classified into a predetermined number of fractions, the respective fractions are subjected to electrophoresis, and a gene expression profile is produced from the results.

  • Publication number: 20030217904
Abstract: A friction clutch includes an iron inner clutch plate and two iron outer clutch plates. Each clutch plate has a sliding surface that friction-engages with the other clutch plates. A diamond-like carbon film containing silicon, which functions as a solid lubricant, is formed on the sliding surface of each outer clutch plate through a conventional method such as plasma chemical vapor deposition. The diamond-like carbon film contains 1 wt % to 80 wt % of silicon. A coupling device includes a pilot clutch mechanism that has the friction clutch and an electromagnetic actuator. As a result, the friction clutch has an improved resistance to wear, and the coupling device is durable.

  • Patent number: 6498842
Abstract: A switching system which can easily reconnect a call to an original call path even if an original call state is disconnected at a time of transferring the call to another outside line or extension is presented. In a state where a call path between an outside line (or first line) and a call center (or second line) is formed, the outside line is connected to an outside line transfer destination (or third line) when a transfer demand from the call center to the outside transfer destination is received and the outside line is automatically reconnected to the call center when the call between the outside line and the outside line transfer destination ends.
