  • Patent number: 11082722
Abstract: A method and system for generating highlights from scored data streams is disclosed. According to one embodiment, media content containing time-stamped payloads is received in a data stream from one or more sources. The received media content is recorded in a buffer for a predetermined period of time and sliced into data buckets. For each of the data buckets, a score is assigned according to user-provided keywords. The data buckets are recorded along with the assigned score to generate highlights from the one or more sources using the scores of the recorded data buckets.

Abstract: A method and system for media selection and sharing is disclosed. According to one embodiment, media content is received from a media source and is stored in a buffer for a first time period. A second time period within the first time period is determined for creating a media clip from the media content stored in the buffer. A media clip is generated as determined by the second time period. A user provides an input, and the user's input is associated with the media clip to take one or more effects on the media clip. The media clip enhanced with the one more effects is transmitted over a network to share with other users.

  • Patent number: 10113234
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a method for sealing a porous low-k dielectric film. The method includes forming a sealing layer on the porous low-k dielectric film using a cyclic process. The cyclic process includes repeating a sequence of depositing a sealing layer on the porous low-k dielectric film and treating the sealing layer until the sealing layer achieves a predetermined thickness. The treating of each intermediate sealing layer generates more reactive sites on the surface of each intermediate sealing layer, which improves the quality of the resulting sealing layer.

  • Publication number: 20180094786
Abstract: The invention introduces converging lenses connecting with optical fibers and a device for receiving sunlight that uses these lenses to converge sunlight from every angle of the sun during the day and the collected light beam at the output is quite parallel. To converge light from every angle of the sun, without using any motion part, small lenses are arranged to build a convex surface. Sunlight collected by these lenses become a parallel light beam and are guided by optical fibers. These optical fibers are arranged tightly to build a bundle of optical fibers in order to make it easier to further transmit and to use at the output of the device.

  • Patent number: 9611434
Abstract: Multi-valent metals, such as mercury, may be removed from a liquid hydrocarbon stream, such as crude oil, by optionally blending the liquid hydrocarbon stream with water or alternatively utilizing the water existing in the hydrocarbon as received, to give a homogeneous blend, and adding at least one demulsifier to the liquid hydrocarbon, water and/or homogeneous blend. Water is then extracted leaving a treated liquid hydrocarbon, and the treated liquid hydrocarbon is passed through at least one particle filter and optionally a series of filters of sequentially decreasing pore size. The resulting at least partially demetallized liquid hydrocarbon (e.g. crude oil) having reduced metal content will cause fewer problems for production, transportation, downstream refinery operations, and the environment.

  • Patent number: 9530062
Abstract: An in-vehicle system for estimating a lane boundary based on raised pavement markers that mark the boundary. The in-vehicle system includes a camera for obtaining image data regarding reflective raised pavement markers and non-reflective raised pavement markers, an image processor for processing frames of image data captured by the camera, a lidar detector for obtaining lidar data regarding reflective raised pavement markers, and a lidar processor for processing frames of lidar data captured by the lidar detector. The image processor generates a first probabilistic model for the lane boundary and the lidar processor generates a second probabilistic model for the lane boundary. The in-vehicle system fuses the first probabilistic model and the second probabilistic model to generate a fused probabilistic model and estimates the lane boundary based on the fused probabilistic model.

  • Patent number: 9427803
Abstract: Apparatus for gravity flow and feeding of alloy in a casting operation has a supply vessel for holding a supply of alloy, a furnace in which the vessel is contained and in which the vessel is heatable to maintain the supply of alloy at suitable casting temperature, and a die mounted laterally outwardly from the vessel in relation to the furnace. A conduit provides communication between the vessel and the die. The apparatus further includes means for reversibly tilting an assembly including the furnace, the vessel and the die about a substantially horizontal axis to enable or prevent the flow of the alloy from the vessel to a die cavity defined by the die.

  • Patent number: 9134255
Abstract: Various pipe inspection systems include a camera head operatively connected to the distal end of a push-cable. Images may be automatically captured at predetermined distances of travel, or may be automatically captured based on the output signals from the auto-focus, auto-exposure and/or auto-white balance engines indicating, for example, that the camera motion within the pipe is substantially zero. Images may be captured in an automatic mode at predetermined intervals as the camera head travels within the pipe or in an override mode initiated by operator command. The system may include a data transmission circuit that transmits data between a plurality of nodes at a frequency that does not substantially interfere with a normal base band video transmission frequency.
