    Abstract: The invention relates to an eye mask for treating dry eyes and other eye conditions related to blepharitis or meibomian gland dysfunction. The eye mask acts as a warm compress which ensures the eyelids are heated to expedite eyelid expression to balance out the tear film and treat dry eyes. In one embodiment, an eye mask for treating an ocular condition includes: a fabric having a first layer and a second layer opposite the first layer; and a heat diffusing fill material enclosed between the first and the second layers. The first layer and the second layer are stitched together substantially along their edges. The fill material is configured to deliver a moist heat to an ocular surface.

The rounded tips are configured to avoid puncturing an amniotic membrane during insertion over an ocular surface for the treatment of dry eye disease and inflammation of the eyes and to avoid injuring the conjunctiva during removal of an amniotic membrane from the ocular surface. The forceps have grasping tips at its distal end, wherein one of the grasping tips has a notch on its inside surface. The dimensions of the notch are configured to permit an eye doctor to securely and safely grasp a lip of an amniotic membrane insert for better insertion and removal from an ocular surface.

According to an embodiment, the invention is a topical skin care composition having a dermatologically acceptable vehicle, such as, water and a plurality of ingredients dissolved in the vehicle. The ingredients include: a blend of natural oils; a plurality of vitamins; and 0.1-1 wt % salicyloyl phytosphingosine. The composition is unsuitable for application on the eyelids or eye area. The blend of natural oils includes: aloe barbadensis leaf juice extract; cocos nucifera (coconut oil); hydrolyzed glycosaminoglycans; and caprylic/capric triglycerides. The plurality of vitamins is selected from a group consisting of vitamin C, vitamin E, salts/derivatives of vitamin C and vitamin E, and mixtures thereof. In one aspect, the plurality of vitamins includes: sodium ascorbyl phosphate; disodium lauriminodipropionate tocopheryl phosphate; and jojoba oil.

The airflow outlets are configured to expose the outlet airflow to the UV light sources, thereby treating the airflow to destroy microorganism therein. Photocatalyst may be configured on the surfaces of the lamp tower to promote microorganism destruction.

    Abstract: A disinfecting conveyor system utilizes ultraviolet light to disinfect a product as it passes through an enclosure on a conveyor. A UV light sensor provides feedback to a control system that can change the amount of UV light exposure, speed of conveyor, and disinfection reaction. A UV light sensor may be a coupled to the conveyor and the UV light intensity and time of exposure within the enclosure may be used to calculate a UV light dose. A user of the system may input a required UV light dose or the type of product to be disinfected and the control system may automatically control the speed of the conveyor and/or the UV light intensity to provide the required UV dose. The system may utilize an air filtration and/or cooling system to provide a flow of clean and cool process air to the enclosure to maintain a temperature that is below a threshold temperature.
