Abstract: One embodiment provides a method comprising determining multi-dimensional metadata corresponding to an input image, and determining ambient light information indicative of a level of ambient light in an ambient environment of a display device. The multi-dimensional metadata comprises a cumulative distribution function (CDF) of pixels in the input image. The method further comprises determining, based on the multi-dimensional metadata and the ambient light information, one or more gains that adaptively compensate for the level of ambient light in the ambient environment. The method further comprises generating a tone mapping function based on the one or more gains, and applying the tone mapping function to the input image to generate a tone-mapped image that adaptively compensates for the level of ambient light in the ambient environment. The tone-mapped image is provided to the display device for presentation.

  • Publication number: 20220114476
Abstract: This disclosure describes one or more implementations of a text sequence labeling system that accurately and efficiently utilize a joint-learning self-distillation approach to improve text sequence labeling machine-learning models. For example, in various implementations, the text sequence labeling system trains a text sequence labeling machine-learning teacher model to generate text sequence labels. The text sequence labeling system then creates and trains a text sequence labeling machine-learning student model utilizing the training and the output of the teacher model. Upon the student model achieving improved results over the teacher model, the text sequence labeling system re-initializes the teacher model with the learned model parameters of the student model and repeats the above joint-learning self-distillation framework. The text sequence labeling system then utilizes a trained text sequence labeling model to generate text sequence labels from input documents.

  • Publication number: 20220116421
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for gathering network intrusion counter-intelligence. A system can maintain a decoy network environment at one or more machines. The system can identify a malicious user accessing network services through the network environment. Further, the system can receive network service access requests from the user at one or more machines in the network environment and subsequently direct the network service access requests from the malicious user to the decoy network environment based on an identification of the malicious user. The network services access requests can be satisfied with network service access responses generated in the decoy network environment. Subsequently, the system can maintain malicious user analytics based on the network service access requests of the malicious user that are directed to the decoy network environment.

  • Publication number: 20220100791
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed for determining multi-term contextual tags for digital content and propagating the multi-term contextual tags to additional digital content. For instance, the disclosed systems can utilize search query supervision to determine and associate multi-term contextual tags (e.g., tags that represent a specific concept based on the order of the terms in the tag) with digital content. Furthermore, the disclosed systems can propagate the multi-term contextual tags determined for the digital content to additional digital content based on similarities between the digital content and additional digital content (e.g., utilizing clustering techniques). Additionally, the disclosed systems can provide digital content as search results based on the associated multi-term contextual tags.

  • Patent number: 11272802
Abstract: A motor driven system for raising and lowering a window covering executes motor ramp trajectory speed control. The motor ramp trajectory limits acceleration of an external motor from the idle (stationary) state to full operating speed, and limits deceleration of the motor from full operating speed back to the idle state. This function reduces stresses on a continuous cord loop drive mechanism. A control system manages solar heating effects in response to sunlight entrance conditions such as system sensor outputs, external weather forecasts, and other data sources. The system automatically opens or close the window covering to increase or decrease admitted sunlight under appropriate conditions. The input interface of the control system includes a visual display and input axis, which are aligned vertically if the window covering mechanism raises and lowers the window covering, and are aligned horizontally if the window covering mechanism laterally opens and closes the window covering.

  • Publication number: 20220076693
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for determining speech emotion. In particular, a speech emotion recognition system generates an audio feature vector and a textual feature vector for a sequence of words. Further, the speech emotion recognition system utilizes a neural attention mechanism that intelligently blends together the audio feature vector and the textual feature vector to generate attention output. Using the attention output, which includes consideration of both audio and text modalities for speech corresponding to the sequence of words, the speech emotion recognition system can apply attention methods to one of the feature vectors to generate a hidden feature vector. Based on the hidden feature vector, the speech emotion recognition system can generate a speech emotion probability distribution of emotions among a group of candidate emotions, and then select one of the candidate emotions as corresponding to the sequence of words.
