  • Publication number: 20100090343
Abstract: A cap layer for a copper interconnect structure formed in a first dielectric layer is provided. In an embodiment, the cap layer may be formed by an in-situ deposition process in which a process gas comprising germanium, arsenic, tungsten, or gallium is introduced, thereby forming a copper-metal cap layer. In another embodiment, a copper-metal silicide cap is provided. In this embodiment, silane is introduced before, during, or after a process gas is introduced, the process gas comprising germanium, arsenic, tungsten, or gallium. Thereafter, an optional etch stop layer may be formed, and a second dielectric layer may be formed over the etch stop layer or the first dielectric layer.

  • Publication number: 20100095307
Abstract: A forced lock-step operation between a CPU (software) and the hardware is eliminated by unburdening the CPU from monitoring the hardware until it is finished with its task. This is done by providing a data/control message queue into which the CPU writes combined data/control messages and places an End tag into the queue when finished. The hardware checks the content of the message queue and starts decoding the incoming data. The hardware processes the data read from the message queue and the processed data is then written back into the message queue for use by the software. The hardware raises an interrupt signal to the CPU when reaching the End tag. Speed differences between hardware and software can be compensated for by changing the depth of the queue.

  • Publication number: 20100090475
Abstract: An exercise device capable of generating electricity includes a generator unit, a power conversion unit, a controller unit, a power resistor unit, a human machine interface (HMI) unit and an energy conversion unit. The power conversion unit is electrically connected to the generator unit for receiving an AC power source outputted by the generator and converting it into a plurality of DC power sources. With stepping on the exercise device by external manpower to drive the generator unit to operate, the energy conversion unit is used to store the energy. Further, in the beginning of the operation of the exercise device, the energy conversion unit provides the HMI unit with necessary electricity. After the exercise device achieves a certain rotating speed, the power conversion unit is switched to provide the HMI unit with necessary electricity. With the above arrangement, the exercise device can be driven by an external force to generate electricity.

  • Patent number: 7697611
Abstract: A method for processing video image is provided to perform a motion vector filtering process on the image after being processed by a motion estimation process. The motion vector filtering process adjusts the motion vectors derived for each block in a video sequence, so that the motion vector of each block and the actual moving direction of the corresponding object in the image tend to conformity. Then, the blocks with similar motion vectors are merged and blocks with radical motion vectors are corrected, thereby reducing distortion of the output image and the number of bits used to represent the motion information, which in turns increases the efficiency of compression process.

  • Patent number: 7696623
Abstract: An electronic carrier board and a package structure thereof are provided. The electronic carrier board includes a carrier, at least one pair of bond pads formed on the carrier, and a protective layer covering the carrier. The protective layer is formed with openings for exposing the bond pads. A groove is formed between the paired bond pads and has a length larger than a width of an electronic component mounted on the paired bond pads. The groove is adjacent to one of the paired bond pads and communicates with a corresponding one of the openings where this bond pad is exposed. Accordingly, a clearance between the electronic component and the electronic carrier board can be effectively filled with an insulating resin for encapsulating the electronic component, thereby preventing voids and undesirable electrical bridging between the paired bond pads from occurrence.
