  • Patent number: 5008700
Abstract: In a disclosed color image recording apparatus, an elongated, web-like continuous intermediate image sheet is used as a master mask plate for forming a latent image of an original on a photosensitive pressure-sensitive recording sheet. On the master mask plate, there are separately recorded three images of one of the three color components, i.e. blue, green and red. The recording sheet is exposed to light through the respective mask plates to superpose the latent images thereon. The respective color latent images are formed in a predetermined order. The superposed latent images thereon are then developed under pressure to provide a visible image. Since the order of the latent image formation is not interchangeable, a bar code representing the order thereof is printed on the mask plate, whereby upon reading the bar code with an optical reader, the latent images are formed in the predetermined order on the recording sheet even if the mask plate is inserted in reverse order.

  • Patent number: 4920374
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of recording a picture onto a photosensitive and pressure-sensitive paper, which comprises the steps of: forming in advance a mask original form of a film having a light-transmitting portion and a non-light-transmitting portion corresponding to information of the picture; exposing the photosensitive and pressure-sensitive paper through the mask original form to thereby form a latent image on the photosensitive and pressure-sensitive paper; and pressure-fixing the photosensitive and pressure-sensitive paper carrying the latent image formed thereon.

  • Patent number: 4864353
Abstract: An image recording apparatus for providing an image on a photosensitive recording medium comprising: a light-transmissive image carrier for carrying a light shielding image thereon; image forming means for forming the light-shielding image on the image carrier based on given image information; exposure means which applies light to the photosensitive recording medium through the image carrier for forming a latent image on the photosensitive recording medium, the photosensitive recording medium being disposed in confronting relation with the image carrier at least at the exposure means; image developing means disposed at downstream side of the exposure means for visualizing the latent image on the photosensitive recording medium; enlarging means connected to the image forming means for providing an enlarged image information to form the light-shielding image having enlarged size on the image carrier with respect to the image information; and reducing means disposed at the exposure means for reducing the latent

  • Patent number: 4647238
Abstract: A printer using a disposable ribbon which is fed from a feed section toward a take-up section of a feeding device upon completion of printing of each line of characters. The printer comprises a memory for storing position data representing a feed-side end of an active portion of the ribbon which has been used for the last printed line, the feed-side end being located on the side of the feed section of the feeding device, and another memory for storing another position data representing a take-up-side end of another active portion of the ribbon which is to be used for the next line of characters, the take-up-side end being located on the side of the take-up section of the feeding device.

  • Patent number: 4600325
Abstract: The present invention relates to a printing apparatus, and more particularly to an arranging structure in which an ink ribbon extended from a ribbon cassette is arranged between a platen and a print head. The printing apparatus comprises a platen rotatably supported on a frame, a print head capable of moving reciprocally along the platen, a ribbon cassette replaceably loaded at one end side of the movable range of the print head and housing an ink ribbon with some portion extending outwardly as a loop, and a ribbon guide body located inside the loop of the ink ribbon and for pulling out the same. The ribbon guide body is movably provided along the platen and enters inside the loop of the ink ribbon when the ribbon cassette is mounted on the frame with the ribbon guide body located at one end side of the movable range of the print head.

  • Patent number: 4286887
Abstract: A ribbon cassette for a looped ink ribbon in a stuffed state is provided with a depending plate on a lower surface of a cover member, for covering a ribbon chamber, near an outlet opening in order to reduce a ribbon drawing-out force by taking advantage of a slight and not-excessive frictional resistance taking place there. The depending plate is in the form of an inverted isosceles triangle and the distance between the tip end of the triangle and a floor of the ribbon chamber is smaller than the width of the ribbon.
