    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a coil-embedded dust core with a small variation in inductance value with efficiency includes a step (a) of charging soft magnetic metal powder including an insulating material, composing a green body 10, so as to cover a coil 1, and (b) compacting the soft magnetic metal powder covering the coil 1 in an axial direction of the coil 1. In the step (b), the soft magnetic metal powder is compacted while an amount of the soft metal powder charged into the part corresponding to the winding section is kept smaller than an amount of the soft magnetic metal powder charged into the other part that are not corresponding to the winding section, with an upper surface or a lower surface of the winding section as a reference.

    Abstract: A pickup (P) for accessing moving storage media (D) carrying substantially parallel information tracks (T) has a carrier (C), a movable actuator (A) with a lens and suspension means joining the carrier (C) and the actuator (A). The actuator (A) carries coils. The pickup (P) has a magnet configuration, which is connected to the carrier (C), with at least one multipolar magnet having two ore more poles. In a section of the multipolar magnet, which faces one of the coils, two opposing magnetic poles adjoin along a first separation line. The separation line has a first line part and a second line part, where the widths of corresponding pole parts of at least one of the adjoining magnetic poles differ. According to the invention at least one magnetically active element increasing or decreasing the magnetic flux is attached to the multipolar magnet at least one of the pole parts with different widths.

    Abstract: A pickup for accessing moving storage media carrying substantially parallel information tracks has a carrier, an actuator with a lens and suspension wires extending from the rear of the carrier and joining the carrier and the actuator. The actuator is movable in the focus direction and in a tracking direction and has a substantially rectangular flat board carrying the lens and a counter weight. The flat board is arranged orthogonal to a focus direction and carries tracking and focus coils. The pickup has a magnet configuration connected to the carrier with at least two tracking magnets, which are arranged in the tracking direction at opposite sides of the flat board and extend orthogonal to the focus direction above and/or under the flat board, and with at least two focus magnets, which are arranged in front of and behind the flat board and extend orthogonal to the direction of the tracks.

    Abstract: Actuator for an optical scanning device The invention relates to an actuator for an optical scanning device, having a focus lens mounted in a lens holder and having a damper base firmly connected to a mount, having a magnet arrangement arranged on the mount, and a coil arrangement interacting with the magnet arrangement, on a printed circuit board, for fine positioning of the focus lens, with the printed circuit board being connected to the damper base by means of elastically flexible suspension means arranged on both sides of the longitudinal axis of the actuator. It achieves the object of designing an actuator such as this in such a way that it has a reduced moment of inertia, because of a reduced mass. For this purpose, the printed circuit board is at the same time a mounting board for the lens holder, and the printed circuit board and the lens holder together form the moving part of the actuator.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an actuator for a scanning device for scanning optical discs which has a focus lens fixed in a lens holder and a damper base permanently connected to a support. The actuator is equipped with a coil and magnet arrangement, arranged on a support, for fine positioning of the focus lens, wherein a frame is connected to the damper base with elastically flexible suspension means arranged on both sides of this arrangement and of a longitudinal axis of the actuator. It achieves the object of constructing such an actuator in such a manner that it is also suitable for small optical discs. For this purpose, the lens holder is arranged at a distance from the longitudinal axis and at the same time on a side of the actuator facing away from it and facing a receptacle for the optical discs, wherein the direction of movement of the scanning device with the actuator is located transversely to the longitudinal axis and radially with respect to the disc.
