  • Publication number: 20180322871
Abstract: The present disclosure illustrates an electronic device with wake on voice function and an operating method thereof. The electronic device detects an audio signal in analog form by an additional pre-signal detector, and the pre-signal detector wakes up an analog-to-digital converter and a human voice detector when the audio signal in analog form is determined to satisfy a predetermined condition. When a host system of the electronic device enters into a sleep mode from an operation mode, the analog-to-digital converter and the human voice detector enter into a sleep mode together.

  • Patent number: 9813816
Abstract: An audio plug detection structure is disclosed, which is adapted for an audio jack corresponding to an audio plug and includes a first and second connection points, a time-varying signal generation circuit, and a comparison circuit. The time-varying signal generation and comparison circuits are connected to the first connection point. When the audio plug is inserted into the audio jack, the first connection point is connected to a first pole of the audio plug and the second connection point is connected to a second pole different from the first pole of the audio plug. Therefore, the time-varying signal generation circuit, the first connection point, an inner impedance circuit of the audio plug and the second connection plug form a loop. The comparison circuit outputs a determination signal indicating the audio plug is inserted by detecting a change of a time-varying signal generated by the time-varying signal generation circuit.

  • Patent number: 9645624
Abstract: An electronic apparatus comprises a switch, a processing unit, a functional unit and a power management unit. The function unit has a timer. The power management unit is coupled to the processing unit and the function unit. The processing unit and the function unit receive a switch signal generated by the switch. The processing unit generates a power-down signal after detecting a change in the logic level of the switch signal received for a first predetermined time. The timer starts counting upon detecting a change in the logic level of the switch signal, and executes a power-down procedure after the timer has counted to a second predetermined time. The second time is less than the first predetermined time. The function unit completes the power-down procedure before the power management unit receives the power-down signal and stops powering the processing unit and the function unit.
