  • Patent number: 6886600
Abstract: A piping device for use in a cutting oil coater includes an oil supply path, a narrower path connected with the oil supply path and having an inside diameter smaller than that of the oil supply path, an oil tube, for feeding liquid oil to the oil supply path, a gas tube for feeding a gas to the oil supply path, where it mixes with the oil and changes it into a droplet state, an air space into which the oil is discharged from the narrower path, and is changed into a spray, a wall defining the air space having a recess, and a plurality of branch paths into which the oil impinges on the recess flows, with a substantially even flow distribution in each branch path, wherein a vertex of the recess and an end of the narrower path face each other. The apparatus suppresses an uneven distribution of flow rate of oil discharged into the air space.

  • Patent number: 6813875
Abstract: A system for controlling a gas-turbine engine having a combustor which generates a combustion such that resulting combustion gas rotates a turbine that is connected to the compressor and a load such as a generator to drive the compressor and the generator. In the system, the oxygen concentration of the resulting combustion gas is detected and the adiabatic flame temperature is calculated based on at least the detected oxygen concentration such that the combustion mode is switched between the premix combustion and the diffusive combustion by calculated temperature. With this, the system, when operated using a gas fuel whose composition is not constant can control the fuel supply through a multiple venturi mixer, while avoiding flame-out and operate stably in response to load demand and achieving excellent emission performance.

  • Patent number: 6745558
Abstract: In a gas-turbine engine control system, a temperature of the air supplied to mixers and a pressure of the fuel supplied to the mixers are detected and based on the detected fuel pressure, a flow rate of the fuel supplied to the mixers is determined based on at least the detected pressure of the fuel. Then, an adiabatic flame temperature in a combustion chamber is determined based on at least the determined flow rate of the fuel and it is determined whether a selected one of combustion modes including premixed combustion and diffusive combustion is to be switched to other based on the determined adiabatic flame temperature and the detected air temperature and the selected combustion mode is controlled to switch to the other in response to a result of determination. With this, it becomes possible to achieve switchover to the stabler combustion mode and realize better low emission performance by utilizing the premixed combustion range.
