  • Patent number: 6814553
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a dual reciprocating bellows pump which can facilitate size reduction design of the whole pump, permit pump manufacture at low cost, and permit reducing the dead spaces in pumping chambers to provide improved self-suction performance. Valve cases of suction side and discharge side valve units are disposed one below the other along a longitudinal axis passing through the center of the cross-section of the bellows such that they project into the associated pumping chambers, and a pair of interlock shafts are disposed at positions spaced apart to the left and right from the center in the transversal direction. With this construction, it is possible to reduce the dead spaces in the pumping chambers, reduce the longitudinal and transversal dimensions of the pump and facilitate size reduction design of the pump.

  • Publication number: 20040210347
Abstract: The invention provides a robot apparatus and a robot controlling method wherein the robot apparatus can behave so that its user may not lose interest in the robot apparatus. A behavior management section (72) selects one of a seeking behavior and a knowledge utilizing behavior based on a behavior selection probability. When the behavior management section (72) executes the selected behavior (a), a reward (r) is provided from an environment/user (111). The behavior (72) updates a behavior value based on the reward (r) and applies the behavior value to the Boltzmann distribution to determine the behavior selection probability. Further, the behavior management section (72) varies the Boltzmann temperature based on input information. The present invention can be applied to a reinforced learning system for a robot.

  • Publication number: 20040099320
Abstract: It is sought to provide a spool valve arrangement, which can solve such problem as leaks of a pressure medium which may occur in the case of using synthetic resin for forming various spool valve component parts, can be manufactured at low cost, is richly durable and readily permits spool valve operation rate increase. A cylinder is fitted by clearance fit in a cylinder bore in a housing. Each socket is inserted through each first pressure medium port in the housing and each second pressure medium port in the cylinder. The socket has a small diameter part, which is fitted by clearance fit in the second pressure medium port, and a large diameter part, which is engaged with a shoulder formed in the first pressure medium port. By screwing a conduit end in the first pressure medium port, the socket is held in the mounted position, thus providing a seal of the region of this port and also providing an anti-rotation effect on the cylinder relative to the housing.

  • Publication number: 20030198561
Abstract: There is provided a pump system excellent in a maintenance ability and compatibility. The pump system comprises a pump (1) for transferring a liquid by alternately supplying air to air chambers (17a, 17b) to extend and contract a pair of bellows (13a, 13b) linked to a shaft (15). It also comprises a switching valve mechanism (2) for switching the air supplied to the pump (1). Switching mechanisms (40a, 40b) are employed to switch the pilot air for controlling the switching operation of the switching valve mechanism (2). The switching mechanisms are detachably attached to cases (16a, 16b) of the pump (1) from outside.

  • Publication number: 20010014078
Abstract: A disk cartridge having a shutter constructed slidable in both rightward and leftward directions. One surface of a cartridge casing is provided with a first guide groove formed between an upper surface of a front end wall of one half shell and a lower surface of a front end wall of the other half shell. The front end wall of the above-mentioned other half shell is partially cut out to provide a cut portion that extends up to the upper surface of the front end wall of the one half shell. By inserting a first engagement protrusion and a second engagement protrusion formed a the first slider through the cut portion into the first guide groove, the shutter is mounted on the casing body.

  • Patent number: 4848505
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a throttle valve situated for rotation within an engine induction passage. The apparatus includes a throttle driving unit mechanically coupled to the accelerator pedal for rotating the throttle valve in response to an extent to which the accelerator pedal is depressed. A control circuit is provided for producing an electrical control signal in accordance with automobile running conditions. The control signal is applied to a throttle actuator which thereby produces a driving force to the throttle driving unit for rotating the throttle valve. The throttle driving unit has a structure for restricting rotation of the throttle valve in an opening direction to a degree determined by the extent to which the accelerator pedal is depressed so as to provide a positive prevention of automobile reckless driving.
