  • Patent number: 8948661
Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to a cap for a toner cartridge. In one example, the cap may be configured to close a toner supply opening of the toner cartridge. According to one or more aspects, the cap may include a sealing or covering portion configured to cover the toner supply opening and a shaft portion for rotatably supporting a to-be-detected rotary member. The to-be-detected rotary member 56 is rotatably supported around and fitted onto the shaft portion. Therefore, even if a toner supply opening of a cartridge is provided in a sidewall of the housing on a side where the to-be-detected rotary member is provided, e.g., a left sidewall, the toner supply opening and the to-be-detected rotary member can be provided in such a manner as to overlap each other.

  • Patent number: 8875849
Abstract: In a vehicle caliper brake device, a brake pad supported by a holder applies a frictional force to a braking surface as a diaphragm actuator is driven. The holder is supported by a caliper main body to be capable of displacing in a displacement direction of the brake pad. The diaphragm actuator includes a piston that is driven by a diaphragm to push the holder. The piston is fixed to the holder using a plurality of screws, and therefore the piston applies a pressing force to the brake pad uniformly without the need for guidance by a guide.

  • Publication number: 20140054117
Abstract: A caliper brake device includes a brake shoe for exerting a friction force by sliding in contact with a disk, a caliper main body fixed to a vehicle and an actuator for pressing the brake shoe against the disk. The actuator includes an elastic film fixed to the caliper main body, a drive pressure chamber defined by the elastic film and supplied with a fluid, a valve introducing the fluid to the drive pressure chamber, and a piston interposed between the elastic film and the brake shoe. The fluid is supplied to the drive pressure chamber and the elastic film swells toward the brake shoe, whereby the piston brings the brake shoe into sliding contact with the disk. The valve introduces the fluid to the drive pressure chamber when the brake is applied while limiting the discharge of the fluid from the drive pressure chamber when the brake is released.

  • Patent number: 8478163
Abstract: A photosensitive member cartridge 20, a developing cartridge 40, and a toner cartridge 60 can be mounted in and removed from a common mounting/removing opening 2a through a common path without enlarging the device. The mounting/removing opening 2a also can be made comparatively small. Thus, a configuration is simplified. The toner cartridge 60 can be mounted or removed by rotating a handle 62 to an upper direction. The developing cartridge 40 and the toner cartridge 60 can be mounted or removed by pressing down a handle 25. The photosensitive member cartridge 20, the developing cartridge 40, and the toner cartridge 60 can be individually exchanged depending on lifetime of the cartridges.

  • Patent number: 8437665
Abstract: A developer cartridge provided in an image-forming device has a developer side casing that includes a toner-accommodating chamber and a developing chamber; and a plate wall disposed in the developing chamber for partitioning a thickness-regulating blade from the toner-accommodating chamber. When a thickness-regulating blade scrapes excess charged toner off the developing roller, the plate wall prevents this charged toner from returning to the toner-accommodating chamber. A flexible wiper for cleaning toner detection windows is attached to an agitator for stirring toner in the toner-accommodating chamber via a fixing member. The fixing member includes a support plate and a gripping plate disposed opposite each other with a slit formed therebetween. The wiper is inserted into the slit and is fixed to the fixing member when a boss protruding from a restricting plate becomes inserted into a through-hole formed in the wiper.
