    Abstract: A paper sheet handling apparatus includes an upstream sensor and a downstream sensor arranged on an upstream side and a downstream side of the conveyance path respectively, and detect the paper sheet, and a controller that controls the drive mechanism based on detection results of the upstream sensor and the downstream sensor. In a case where the upstream sensor detects the paper sheet conveyed and then the paper sheet is not detected by the downstream sensor, the controller controls the drive mechanism to drive the conveyance path in a reverse direction opposite to the conveyance direction and to drive the conveyance path in the conveyance direction after the upstream sensor detects the paper sheet again, and the controller determines that a conveyance abnormality, which has occurred in a conveyance section between the upstream sensor and the downstream sensor, has been resolved when the downstream sensor detects the paper sheet.

    Abstract: Evidence of a discrimination result of a drug can be presented, and various marks can be dealt with. A computer includes a feature extraction unit and a discrimination unit. The feature extraction unit generates an extraction mark image in which a mark appearing on a captured image is extracted, based on an output value obtained by inputting the captured image of a target drug whose type is unidentified to a trained model constructed to extract the mark formed on the drug. The discrimination unit discriminates the type of the target drug, based on a collation result between the extraction mark image and a registration mark image registered in advance for each type of the drug.
