  • Publication number: 20080246188
Abstract: The method of predicting the amount of deformation due to shrinkage of a molded article of the present invention finds a support point P of the bending moment M from a distribution of shrinkage rates of a molding material forming a molded article 10 and uses the support point P to predict the amount of deformation. At that time, it is preferable to use the support point P to find the bending moment M and to use the bending moment M to predict the amount of deformation.

  • Publication number: 20080139107
Abstract: A main body casing of a ventilator is formed with an outer airflow opening and an inner airflow opening and a ventilating path for connecting these airflow openings is formed in the main body casing. The ventilator ventilates a room and prevents entry of noise from outside into the room through the ventilating path. The ventilating path is bifurcated and these two ventilating paths have different lengths from each other so that a noise sound wave entering through one of the ventilating paths and a noise sound wave entering through the other ventilating path are out of phase with each other to cancel out each other's sound wave energy when the sound waves meet.

  • Patent number: 7375917
Abstract: When an idle seek operation of a magnetic disk drive is executed under a velocity control utilizing a back electromotive force of a VCM actuator, the accuracy of the velocity control is deteriorated due to temperature variation of the VCM. To eliminate this disadvantage, a calibration of the velocity control is executed by using control information, such as a track number read from the magnetic disk medium. After the velocity control has been executed for an appointed period, by detecting the back electromotive force from the VCM actuator, an MR sense current and a power of a read write LSI are turned on for a time, positioning information on the magnetic disk medium is read out, parameters to be used for the velocity control are calibrated, and thus a stability of the control can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 7328507
Abstract: An electrically controlled throttle apparatus is constructed with a throttle body and a throttle valve that are simultaneously molded of a resinous material in the same molding dies. The throttle valve is rotatably assembled in a bore wall part of the throttle body while the throttle valve is rotated by a predetermined rotation angle ? between 45° and 135° with respect to a rotation angle 0° corresponding to its full close position. An outer circumferential periphery of the filler, which is molded to be the throttle valve in a cavity of the molding dies, is compressed by a predetermined pressure when the throttle valve and the throttle body are molded. Thus, dispersion of contraction of the throttle valve can be reduced in its molding process by adding the compression process.

  • Publication number: 20080017441
Abstract: A sound-deadening louver is attached to vents that are formed in a wall structure. The louver is composed of a plurality of blades that are inclined at an angle to the surface of the wall structure. Each blade has a sound-deadening chamber therein, and an opening is formed on that side which faces each vent in the wall structure. First reflecting plates and second reflecting plates are mounted in the blade so as to extend from an edge portion of the opening into the sound-deadening chamber. The first reflecting plates have a curved shape, while the second reflecting plates have a flat shape.

  • Patent number: 7261854
Abstract: An insert component (2) is located at a predetermined position between a pair of halves of a mold (1) in an open state while being held by a support (12) for holding the insert component (2) outside the mold. A tubular molten resin (4) is extruded through a die (3) between the pair of halves of the mold (1) to dispose the insert component (2) in the interior space (13) of the molten resin (4). By clamping the mold (1), the insert component (2) is covered with the tubular molten resin (4) in conformity with the contour thereof to result in an insert-mold product (20).

  • Publication number: 20070044849
Abstract: An intake device has a passage member defining a fluid passage, a housing, a valve member and a shaft member. The housing is disposed in the passage member such that a passage of the housing is in communication with the fluid passage of the passage member. The valve member is disposed in the housing to open and close the passage of the housing. The valve member has a tubular portion and a wing portion extending from the tubular portion. The shaft member is disposed to pass through the passage member and the tubular portion of the valve member in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the fluid passage of the passage member. The shaft member is disposed such that a portion of the shaft member located inside of the tubular portion retains an elastic force against an inner wall of the tubular portion.

  • Patent number: 7111609
Abstract: An intake air control device, which is mounted to a fixed member, includes a throttle body and a throttle valve. The throttle body defines an intake air passage. The throttle valve is rotatably supported in the throttle body to control an amount of intake air flowing through the intake air passage. The throttle body includes a cylindrical portion, a plurality of fixed portions, and a strain absorbing portion. The cylindrical portion defines the intake air passage that accommodates the throttle valve. The plurality of fixed portions are connected to the fixed member. The strain absorbing portion connects the cylindrical portion with the plurality of fixed portions to absorb displacement arising in the plurality of fixed portions. The strain absorbing portion is a deformable connecting arm that connects to the cylindrical portion in a location, which is apart from a radially inner periphery of the plurality of fixed portions.

  • Patent number: 7107678
Abstract: A throttle valve and the throttle body are formed substantially simultaneously in the same dies. The melted resin is injected in to a cavity through a pair of valve gates. The valve gates are symmetrically located with respect to the throttle valve shaft. A deformation of the throttle valve can be avoided because a stress concentration on the metal shaft of the throttle valve is reduced in opening the dies.

  • Patent number: 7107683
Abstract: A molding dies have a first shaft holding portion and a second shaft holding portion. The first shaft holding portion supports an outer surface of a metal shaft which is exposed between an axial end surface of the throttle valve and a first collar molded in the throttle body. The second shaft holding portion supports an outer surface of the metal shaft which is exposed between the other axial end surface and a second collar molded in the throttle body. The first and the second collar have a first and second shaft holes into which the metal shaft is inserted. The first and the second holding portions restrict a flowing of melted resin into the first and the second shaft holes.
