  • Publication number: 20240024036
Abstract: There is provided a method to perform bone resection using a planer. Under guidance of a surgical navigation system, and, optionally, under command of a robotic system, a trackable surgical instrument is guided to a target pose on a target bone. The bone may be a femur or tibia in a TKA. The trackable instrument comprises a drill or a pin guide for mounting a pair of pins, preferably graduated pins to select a resection depth. A pin end is inserted into the planer and the planer operated to resect until the pin end bottoms out. A robot may command movement of the trackable instrument to the target pose. The target pose may be received or determined from surgical pre-planning or intra-operative activities such as tracked measurements, user input, etc. The navigation system presents information such as measurements and/or image overlays to guide the placement.

  • Publication number: 20230362188
Abstract: A method of relay-attack resistant communications in a wireless communications system that includes a master wireless device (Master) sending a synchronization signal to a slave wireless device (Slave). The synchronization signal includes timing information including a common time reference and a timeslot duration for interlocking Master communication timeslots for Master and Slave communication timeslots so that an alternating TX and RX role pattern is provided. The Master analyzes Slave packet data received from the Slave to identify overlaps of a transmission from the Master and the slave packet data, and in a case of detecting overlap, suspends communications from Master to Slave to prevent a relay-attack.

Abstract: Some embodiments include an assembly with an inlet housing enclosing an outlet housing that includes an inlet. The outlet housing includes an outlet port and a channel or aperture coupled to an outlet and apertures coupled to atmosphere. A moveable or flexible member is positioned in the inlet housing coupled to the outlet housing, and can deform, flex and/or move based on a flow and/or pressure of fluid from the inlet. Based on the flow and/or pressure of fluid from the inlet, the moveable or flexible member can reversibly move from a first position to a second position and/or from a second position to a first position. The first position is characterized by the moveable or flexible member being coupled to, proximate to, sealed to the aperture, and the second position is characterized by the moveable or flexible member being moved away from the aperture.

  • Patent number: 11682166
Abstract: Embodiments provide systems, methods, and computer storage media for fitting 3D primitives to a 3D point cloud. In an example embodiment, 3D primitives are fit to a 3D point cloud using a global primitive fitting network that evaluates the entire 3D point cloud and a local primitive fitting network that evaluates local patches of the 3D point cloud. The global primitive fitting network regresses a representation of larger (global) primitives that fit the global structure. To identify smaller 3D primitives for regions with fine detail, local patches are constructed by sampling from a pool of points likely to contain fine detail, and the local primitive fitting network regresses a representation of smaller (local) primitives that fit the local structure of each of the local patches. The global and local primitives are merged into a combined, multi-scale set of fitted primitives, and representative primitive parameters are computed for each fitted primitive.
