    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for releasing preconfigured uplink resources configuration in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, a User Equipment (UE) receives a configuration of a preconfigured uplink resource (PUR) when the UE is in a first RRC_CONNECTED state. The UE enters a first RRC_IDLE state from the first RRC_CONNECTED state. The UE performs a first transmission using the PUR when the UE is in the first RRC_IDLE state. The UE enters a second RRC_CONNECTED state from the first RRC_IDLE state. The UE suspends the configuration when the UE is in the second RRC_CONNECTED state. The UE resumes the configuration when the UE enters a second RRC_IDLE state from the second RRC_CONNECTED state. The UE performs a second transmission using the PUR when the UE is in the second RRC_IDLE state.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses of handling a bandwidth part (BWP) inactivity timer during a Random Access procedure in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, a user equipment (UE) starts a BWP timer for a serving cell operating in a paired spectrum. The UE initiates a contention-based Random Access (RA) procedure on the serving cell and stops the BWP timer. The UE starts the BWP timer upon successful completion of the RA procedure, wherein the UE considers the contention-based RA procedure successfully completed if a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) addressed to a Cell Network Temporary Identifier (C-RNTI) of the UE is received and the PDCCH contains an uplink grant for a new transmission.

In one embodiment, the method includes triggering a first SR by a first LCH, wherein the first LCH is associated with a first SR configuration. The method also includes triggering a second SR by a second LCH while the first SR is pending, wherein the second LCH is associated with a second SR configuration, and the first SR configuration and the second SR configuration are configured for the same serving cell. The method further includes using a first SR opportunity and a second SR opportunity to transmit SRs to a network node until the SRs are cancelled, wherein the first SR opportunity corresponds to the first SR configuration and the second SR opportunity corresponds to the second SR configuration.
