    Abstract: A computer system for executing multimedia player system and the method thereof are disclosed. The computer system is installed with a first operating system and a second operating system with lower resource consumption than the first operating system. Users send a remote signal to initiate the extensible firmware interface and drive necessary hardware for executing multimedia player system though an input unit. Then judging whether the remote signal is for executing the multimedia player system, if yes, the second operating system and the multimedia player system are executed. If the remote signal is not for executing the multimedia player system, the first operating system is executed and all hardware of the computer system is driven. Thus users only need to operate the multimedia player system by sending a remote signal through the input unit and the initiating time of the computer system is reduced.

    Abstract: A method for remote control of a computer system is disclosed. By pressing buttons of a remote controller, a computer system in remote end is operated. When users in remote end press buttons for transmitting signals, a receiving unit of the computer system receives the signals. Then the receiving unit sends a first signal to a chip unit for transmitting a second signal to a central processing unit so as to make the central processing unit stop current work temporarily and run a service program for initiating a multimedia player system mode or other modes.

    Abstract: An architecture and method for sharing application programs between multiple operating systems with feature of electricity saving is disclosed. The architecture of computer system includes a first operating system that is installed in a first storage device, a second operating system that is compressed to be stored in a second storage device, and a virtual disk that is a disk storage device formed by simulation of part of area in a memory device. A basic input output system (BIOS) is used to boot the computer, then the second operating system is decompressed and is loaded into the virtual disc for being executed. Through an interface unit, the second operating system shares at least a data display program and a multimedia playback program with the first operating system. Thus the second storage device becomes in sleep mode. By reducing disc access, the electricity saving is achieved and the execution speed is increased effectively.

    Abstract: A remote controlled application program sharing framework and method for operating systems, and it includes a remote transmitting unit for transmitting a data executing or a multimedia playing signal to a receiving unit, a decoding device decoding signals and transmitting a keyboard scan code, corresponding to the signal, to a second operating system, and then the second operating shares at least one data parameter and a multimedia playing system of a first operating system through an interface. Hence, the invention provides real time service and mobility, increases resource sharing, and avoids the re-installation of the application program.

    Abstract: A computer system for storage of remote video signals and the method thereof is disclosed. A first operating system and a second operating system with lower consumption of system resources are installed in a computer system. Users operate the computer system to receive remote video signals and save them in a storage unit under the second operating system. At the same time, an index table is established to record the storage location of the remote video signals. The method for receiving remote video signals firstly is to input an external command into a central processing unit of the computer system through an input unit of the computer system. After receiving the external command, the central processing unit drives a video signal receiving unit of the computer system to receive remote video signals and save them inside a storage unit of the computer system. An index table is established to record locations of the remote video signals.

    Abstract: A method for computer systems to load audio/video data from remote servers is disclosed. When users of computer systems intend to watch films or audio/video programs, an initiated signal is sent to a central processing unit of the computer system. Then under an operating system with lower system resource consumption, the central processing unit sends a connection signal to a network unit of the computer system to connect with a remote service for loading data of films or audio/video programs that users want to watch into a display unit of the computer system. Thus the convenience for users to watch programs or films is enhanced and the computer system resource consumption is reduced.
