Abstract: An integrated circuit structure includes a semiconductor substrate, insulation regions extending into the semiconductor substrate, with the insulation regions including first top surfaces and second top surfaces lower than the first top surfaces, a semiconductor fin over the first top surfaces of the insulation regions, a gate stack on a top surface and sidewalls of the semiconductor fin, and a source/drain region on a side of the gate stack. The source/drain region includes a first portion having opposite sidewalls that are substantially parallel to each other, with the first portion being lower than the first top surfaces and higher than the second top surfaces of the insulation regions, and a second portion over the first portion, with the second portion being wider than the first portion.

Abstract: Systems and methods for saving encoded media streamed using adaptive bitrate streaming in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, a playback device configured to perform adaptive bitrate streaming of media includes a video decoder application and a processor, where the video decoder application configures the processor to select a download stream from a set of alternative streams of video data, measure streaming conditions and request a stream of video data from the alternative streams of video data, receive portions of video data from the requested stream of video data, decode the received video data, save the received video data to memory, when the received video data is from the download stream and separately download and save the corresponding portion of video data from the download stream to memory, when the received video data is not from the download stream.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a complimentary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor (CIS) device. In accordance with some embodiments, the device includes a semiconductor region having a front surface and a back surface; a light-sensing region extending from the front surface towards the back surface within the semiconductor region; a gate stack formed over the semiconductor region; and at least one epitaxial passivation layer disposed at least one of over and below the light-sensing region. In some embodiments, the at least one epitaxial passivation layer includes a p-type doped silicon (Si) layer.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an exercise guiding system including a sensing module, a calculating module, a converting module and an output module. The sensing module keeps recording an R-R interval of a user doing exercise. The computing module receives the R-R interval from the sensing module and performs heart rate variability analysis on the R-R interval to generate a first output. The converting module receives the first output from the calculating module, recognizes a threshold output of the first output according to a threshold and acquires an anaerobic threshold corresponding to the user according to the threshold output, wherein the anaerobic threshold corresponding to the user is a first heart rate corresponding to the threshold output in the R-R interval. The output module receives the anaerobic threshold from the converting module and outputs an exercise guidance of the user according to the anaerobic threshold.

Abstract: At least certain embodiments of the present disclosure include a framework for turning one or more multifunctional devices coupled to a personal area network (PAN) into virtual accessories of another multifunctional device coupled to the PAN. In one embodiment, connection between a multifunctional device and a PAN is established, where the PAN is further coupled to a set of multifunctional devices. One or more distributed functionalities associated with a multi-device capable application are assigned to each multifunctional device based on relationship between the multifunctional devices. At least part of the multi-device capable application is shared between the multifunctional devices. Using the multifunctional device, the one or more distributed functionalities are performed in collaboration with the other multifunctional devices.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a multi-training function air-water punching bag structure that comprises one inner bladder, one external bag, at least one set of handles, at least two sets of first suspenders, and at least one set of second suspenders. The inner bladder respectively contains liquid and air simultaneously. Users can adjust the volume of the liquid and air according to the needs of training and the tactile feel of the punches. The external bag integrates the handle set or the first set of suspenders and the second set of suspenders to reach the effect of multi-training functions.

Abstract: A training machine of load force simulation has a damping unit comprises a press cylinder which includes a cylinder, a movable piston rod, and a press source; a controller is coupled to the press source of the damping unit and a load cell for calculating and controlling the load value of the load cell, allowing the elevating and lowering of a pulley system thereof by adjusting the damping force via the piston rod. Also, the pulley system comprises a plurality of movable pulleys to equally bear the load force from the rope, saving the efforts for operating and retarding the retrieving force of the rope for safety. The present invention is therefore able to replace complex decelerating machines and massive weight blocks in apparatus suchlike with features of small volumes as less space needed, less noises, and no restrictions of setting areas due to no need of electricity.

Abstract: In a method for processing video data of a number of clients of a video conference, the clients include one master client and one or more branch clients. The video data is received from the clients and the received video data of the branch clients are copied. The copied video data of the branch clients are transmitted to the master client, decoded by corresponding CODEC boxes in an array decoder box, and displayed on corresponding screens of a TV wall. The video data of the clients are transmitted to a multipoint control unit, and synthesized by the multipoint control unit to obtain synthesized video data. The synthesized video data is transmitted to each branch client, decoded by a CODEC box of the branch client, and displayed on a display device connected to the branch client.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for quantifying drug delivery with the characteristic of measuring the signal intensity of peripheral vessels with a contrast-enhanced ultrasound to quantify the drug delivery at a target site. The present invention can be used for quantifying UTMD (ultrasound triggered microbubble destruction) targeted drug delivery, also for qualifying the unreleased amount of the long-acting drug in the tested object, and for helping setting the treatment schedule for ultrasound disruption of blood-brain barrier.

Abstract: API analytics systems and methods are provided. Frequently occurring API usage patterns may be determined from API call data collected from across an API ecosystem. Alternatively or in addition, a classification structure, such as a decision tree, may be generated from the API usage patterns. A type of activity that resulted in a set of API calls being invoked may be determined from the classification structure. A similarity or difference between the set of API calls and the frequently occurring API usage patterns may also be determined and/or identified.
