  • Publication number: 20240112201
Abstract: A networked data processing system that provides an application programming interface (API) for consumer-permissioned data, such as academic data, employment data and income data. In some implementations, the data processing system enables application developers to integrate consumer-permissioned data (such as academic data) into their applications. In some implementations, the API enables a developer to focus on other aspects of a given application, while leveraging the data processing system to handle aspects of gathering and processing the source data, such as authenticating the provenance of the source data, handling user permissions, extracting the source data, reviewing the source data, verifying the source data, generating one or more scores from the source data, analyzing the source data relative to a defined purpose, providing the information sought from the analyzed data, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20230352746
Abstract: A carbon-based additive for negative active materials includes carbon nanostructures free of a fiber substrate, carbon nanostructures fused to a fiber substrate or any combination thereof. In many cases, the carbon-based additive further includes carbon black. The additive is used to prepare electrode compositions for lead acid batteries. Batteries that include such electrode compositions are characterized by improved dynamic charge acceptance and lead utilization, typically at acceptable water loss levels. Some of the batteries described herein exhibit a negligible memory effect.

  • Publication number: 20220249596
Abstract: A method of treating hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is described in which a classical complement pathway inhibitor is administered to a neonate. The classical pathway inhibitor can be PIC1, and may have one or more PEG moieties. Treatment of the neonate with the classical complement pathway inhibitor can inhibit inflammation and oxidative damage, such as might arise from ischemia-reperfusion injury. Improvement in fine motor performance, spatial memory and may be achieved. The method may be effective to treat or prevent cerebral palsy.

  • Publication number: 20160180487
Abstract: A GPU of a processor performers load balancing by enabling and disabling CUs based on the GPU's processing load. A power control module identifies a current processing load of the GPU based on, for example, an activity level of one or more modules of the GPU. The power control module also identifies an expected future processing load of the GPU based on, for example, a number of threads (wavefronts) scheduled to be executed at the GPU. Based on a combination of the current processing load and the expected future processing load, the power control module sets the number of CUs of the GPU that are enabled and the number that are disabled (e.g. clock gated or power gated). By changing the number of enabled CUs based on processing load, the power control module maintains performance at the GPU while conserving power.
