The container compression device also includes a second handle portion, wherein the second handle portion includes a plurality of second handle portion linking members pivotably associated with the second handle portion. Additionally, the plurality of second handle portion linking members are rotatably connected to the plurality of first handle portion linking members via at least one releasable locking device, wherein the at least one releasable locking device is configurable between an engaged configuration and a disengaged configuration.
