  • Patent number: 10037639
Abstract: Systems and techniques for intelligent pathway access control are described herein. A destination for an object and a reason the object is traveling to the destination may be obtained. A pathway may be established between a current location of the object and the destination using an electronic map of locations between the current location and the destination based on the reason the object is traveling to the destination. A set of access control features may be identified along the established pathway. A time window for arrival may be calculated for each access control feature of the set of access control features. The object may be allowed passage through an access control feature of the set of access control features based on a proximity of the object to the access control feature and a respective time window for arrival for the access control feature.

  • Publication number: 20180181941
Abstract: Introduced here is a technology that enables a merchant to create customer-targeted, customized digital receipts by use of a merchant platform executing on a financial service system. The merchant platform generates feature programs for incorporating in a digital receipt based on customer segmentation. The customer segmentation includes one or more groups of customers segmented based on one or more attributes associated with each group of customers. An attribute is determined based on data collected by the financial service system, where the data is related to the merchant and other merchants that are either similarly situated as the merchant or similarly located in a geographical area as the merchant. The feature programs can include a feedback program, a loyalty reward program, a promotion program, and/or a tipping program.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for installing fasteners. One exemplary embodiment is a method that includes inserting a fastener into a hole, and gripping ends of the fastener via dies. At least one of the dies includes a permanent coating having a static friction coefficient of less than 0.2 at a surface contacting the fastener. The method further includes plastically deforming the fastener via force from the dies, thereby expanding the fastener into interference with the hole along a length of the fastener such that an amount of interference between the fastener and the hole along the length of the fastener is greater than one and a half thousandths of an inch and less than twenty thousandths of an inch.

  • Publication number: 20180129747
Abstract: A user at a geographical location may submit a search query and receive results responsive to the search query. The search results provided to the user may be based on the user's geographical location. The search results may also be based on one or more attributes of alter ego. The alter ego may be an individual user or another type of entity, such as a group or a business. A user at a geographical location submitting an alter-ego search query may see the results that would be presented to the alter ego if the alter ego were at the geographical location. Each user's interests may be selected through an interest-selection interface, automatically generated as the user interacts with search results, dynamically generated as a user follows or likes search results, or otherwise determined.
