  • Publication number: 20180071981
Abstract: A method of ordering particles suspended in a solution includes providing anisotropic particles suspended in a solution to a channel, wherein the anisotropic particles are unordered when entering the channel. The method further includes applying sound waves to the channel, wherein the frequency of the sound wave is tuned to create one or more columns of particles oriented in the same direction.

  • Publication number: 20180042802
Abstract: A modular dental system, methods for controlling a modular dental tool, a dental system, a control module, and a treatment unit. In one embodiment, the modular dental system includes a modular dental system including a control module and a battery module. The control module includes a first end, a second end, a control sub-system, and a charging sub-system. The control sub-system is configured to communicatively couple to an attachment, detect an attachment identifier associated with the attachment when the attachment is removably attached to the first end of the control module, and control the attachment based on the attachment identifier. The battery module is configured to removably attach to the second end of the control module.

  • Patent number: 9850634
Abstract: Cooperating protection units having both convex and concave walls are disclosed that have the potential to create lengthy protections structures that may be used in the protection of coastal areas. Certain versions of those protective units are configured to have semi-cylindrical wall faces that may cooperate with one another in a lengthy structure and certain other protective units have semi-spherical wall faces that may cooperate with one another in a lengthy structure. Soil and vegetation may accumulate in central cavities of the units.

  • Patent number: 9592647
Abstract: A modular corrugated container integrates product cushioning with a product support surface formed from corrugated paper and having features that absorb transverse accelerations. The support surface has scored tabs that bend perpendicular to an interior support portion, forming feet that elevate the interior portion relative to a container bottom. The interior portion has perforations that absorb accelerations, such as a perforations formed around the outside perimeter of the location at which a product rests, perforations extending from corners of the support surface towards a central location of the support surface, and perforations at the scoring of the tabs. Voids formed along the tabs remove portions of the feet from contact with the container bottom to encourage constant dissemination of accelerations across the support surface.
