  • Publication number: 20190170437
Abstract: An improved grain dryer is presented having a mixed-flow heating section having a plurality of inlet ducts connected to the plenum that facilitate air flow into the grain column from the heated and pressurized heat plenum, and a plurality of exhaust ducts connected to openings in the exterior wall that facilitate air flow out of the grain column. A tempering section is positioned below the heating section and includes solid walls that reduce air flow through the grain column. A cooling section is positioned below the tempering section and includes perforated walls that facilitate air flow through the grain column and into the plenum. In use, heated air is forced outward through the mixed-flow heating section heating and drying the grain and air is pulled through the cross-flow cooling section cooling the grain. Air pulled through the cross-flow cooling section is recycled into the mixed-flow heating section thereby recycling heat.

  • Publication number: 20190105525
Abstract: A clamping device for securely engaging one or more objects through the application of pressure. The clamping device includes a primary member having opposed interior and exterior surfaces. The primary member has a generally cylindrical shape such that the interior surface defines a generally circular space about a center point of the primary member. The clamping device can receive an elongated member through the generally circular space circumscribed by the primary member. The primary member is adapted for clamping and releasing such that the clamping device may releasably engage the elongated member. The elongated member is securely retained by the clamping device through the application of pressure.

  • Patent number: 10190818
Abstract: Devices and methods for spinning food and beverage containers to accelerate heat transfer between the container and its surroundings is provided. The devices include a cylindrical sleeve which positively engages one end of a container, where the cylindrical sleeve is capable of holding an end of a can, an end of a bottle, or both. The cylindrical sleeve is connected to a shaft which in turn is connected to a rotating device, or the shaft is capable of being connected to a rotating device. Cans or bottles are held by the cylindrical sleeve of the inventive devices and are rotated in a heated or cooled medium which increases the rate of heat transfer between the contents of the can or bottle and the medium.
