  • Publication number: 20130173380
Abstract: A system and method for mobile advertising configuration. A mobile advertising platform provides a service to advertisers in generating and managing an advertising campaign. The mobile advertising platform receives an advertiser's input regarding the duration, geographies, targeted demographics, expected performance such as number of impressions, and pricing requirements of an advertising campaign. The mobile advertising platform selects mobile advertisement carriers controlled by one or more fleet operators for inclusion in said advertising campaign based on profiles for the mobile advertisement carriers. The mobile advertising platform provides proof-of-performance metrics and operational metrics to the advertisers to enable management and optimization of the advertising campaign in real-time. The mobile advertising platform provides dynamic pricing to the advertisers for their advertising campaign in real-time.

  • Publication number: 20110297155
Abstract: A method of detecting dyssynchrony between a patient and a pressure support system includes receiving patient flow data relating to a flow of gas provided to the patient by the pressure support system, receiving an I/E state signal representing a respiratory phase of the patient as determined by the pressure support system, and analyzing the patient flow data and the I/E state signal and declaring a dyssynchrony for a breath based on at least one of the patient flow data and the I/E state signal. The method includes determining whether at least one of a number of predetermined criterion is satisfied based on at least one of the patient flow data and the I/E state signal, and declaring the dyssynchrony for the breath if it is determined that at least one of the number of predetermined criterion is satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20110040498
Abstract: An apparatus and method is provided for monitoring a condition of a structure using a passive wireless antenna sensor having a known resonant frequency when mounted on the structure. A series of radio frequency signals are transmitted with sweeping frequencies around the known resonant frequency to the passive wireless antenna sensor. The passive wireless antenna sensor includes a dielectric substrate disposed between an antenna pattern and a ground plane such that a change in the condition of the structure will cause a change in one or more characteristics of the passive wireless sensor. A signal is received from the passive wireless antenna sensor and a resonant frequency of the passive wireless antenna sensor is determined based on the received signal. The determined resonant frequency is then compared to the known resonant frequency, whereby a change in the resonant frequency indicates a change in the condition of the structure.

  • Patent number: 7827988
Abstract: A pressure support system and method of treating disordered breathing that optimizes the pressure delivered to the patient to treat the disordered breathing while minimizing the delivered pressure for patient comfort. The controller in the pressure support system operates as a set of prioritized control layers, wherein each control layer competes for control of the pressure generating system to implement a unique pressure control process. The pressure support system also controls the pressure provided to the patient based on the variability of the monitored data and a trend analysis of this data, including an indication of the skewness of the patient's inspiratory waveform.

  • Patent number: 7673068
Abstract: A network node is described herein which ensures that whenever an ingress station (e.g., PC) communicates a special MAC DA packet then that packet's copies are forwarded (via a high availability VLAN) to its port(s) that are associated with remote network node(s) and/or egress server(s) (e.g., firewall(s)) and not forwarded to its port(s) that are associated with data storage server(s) or ingress station(s) (e.g., PCs). The network node also ensures that whenever an ingress station (e.g., PC) communicates a normal MAC DA packet then that packet's copies are forwarded to all of its port(s) that are associated with ingress station(s), remote network node(s), egress server(s) and/or data storage server(s) so that these stations/servers can maintain their connectivity via a default VLAN.

  • Publication number: 20090327109
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a brokerage commission owed by a client of a brokerage firm based on the principal volume (“PV”) of the client's eligible transactions over a time period. The system may comprise: (i) a database storing information about the client's transactions; and (ii) one or more processors in communication with the database. The processor(s) is programmed to determine the client's brokerage commission by: (i) calculating the cumulative PV of transactions made by the client through the brokerage firm over a time period; and (ii) calculating the commission for a billing time period based on the calculated cumulative PV. The applicable commission may be determined based on a tiered marginal commission rate schedule.

  • Publication number: 20080041382
Abstract: A bi-level pressure support system and method of treating disordered breathing that optimizes the pressure delivered to the patient during inspiration and expiration to treat the disordered breathing while minimizing the delivered pressure for patient comfort. The pressure generating system generates a flow of breathing gas at an inspiratory positive airway pressure (IPAP) during inspiration and at an expiratory positive airway pressure (EPAP) during expirations. A controller monitor at least one of the following conditions: (1) snoring, (2) apneas, (3) hypopneas, or (4) a big leak in the pressure support system and adjusts the IPAP and the EPAP based on the occurrence of any one of these conditions.

  • Publication number: 20050020932
Abstract: An apnea/hypopnea detection system and method that monitors a patient's respiratory flow, determines (a) a long term RMS energy based on the flow, (b) a long term threshold determined based on the long term RMS energy, and (c) a short term RMS energy based on the flow. Determining whether the patient is experiencing an apnea/hypopnea is accomplished by comparing the short term RMS energy with the long term threshold. This A/H detection technique is useful in diagnosing a patient for a breathing disorder, such as OSA, and/or for controlling an auto-titration pressure support system.
