  • Patent number: 7931007
Abstract: The fuel-injection device is characterized by an especially low-noise design. The fuel-injection device includes at least one fuel injector and a fuel rail having at least one pipe connection, the fuel injector being introduced into a receiving bore of the pipe connection, and the fuel rail having a discharge opening to supply fuel to the fuel injector. Provided between the fuel injector and the fuel rail is a pressure-wave guide connecting both, in such a way such that dynamic pressure fluctuations in the fuel injector are able to be routed largely past the volume of the receiving bore of the pipe connection. The fuel-injection device is especially suitable for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine having external ignition, but it is also suitable for the injection of fuel into an intake manifold.

  • Publication number: 20030007328
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cooling device for electronic components, in particular for cooling microprocessors, which has at least one passive thermo-conducting cooling element 12, wherein at least part of said passive cooling element 12 contacts at least one heat transfer medium 20 which is in a solid state of aggregation. Said heat transfer medium 20 in this case is a phase change material (PCM) which has a much higher heat absorption capacity than water and which is, moreover, designed as a latent heat accumulator, which heat transfer medium 20 will store the amount of heat generated by the load on said electronic component that can no longer be absorbed and carried off by said passive cooling element 18, at the same time retaining its solid state of aggregation, and release said heat again at a time when the load on said electronic component is lower.

  • Patent number: 5836576
Abstract: An apparatus for removing copies and/or documents from a machine has a catch and removal tray (2) which can be extended telescopically out of the machine (1). The catch and removal tray (2) consists of a fixed section (3) inside the machine (1) and a movable section (4) which can be drawn out of the machine (1). The fixed section of the tray (3) acts as a catch tray for documents processed by the machine (1) and has a drive mechanism (6, 7, 19) which drives a sliding panel (5) which extends downwards into the fixed section of the tray (3) and which pushes the stack of documents (8) from the fixed section of the tray (3) into the extended movable section of the tray (4). The fixed section of the tray (3) has a photoelectric cell (20) which activates the sliding panel (5) when the stack of documents reaches the maximum height.

  • Patent number: 5770855
Abstract: The present invention relates to a microscopic electromagnetic radiation transmitter or detector and a so-called near-field probe (1) whose body takes the form of a polyhedron point and consists of a material which is at least partially permeable to electromagnetic radiation in the spectral region used. The polyhedron point is delimited by an imaginary base surface beyond which the substantial part of the body is continued to form a total probe body, which is not defined in greater detail. The polyhedron point has "n " side faces and edges leading to an acute point (2) are formed between adjacent side faces. According to the invention, at least two side faces of the body of the polyhedron probe (1) are coated with thin, electrically conductive layers which absorb some of the electromagnetic radiation in the spectral region used, preferably consist of materials such as aluminum, gold or silver and are less than 0.2 .mu.m thick.
